Title says it all. We've reached 100k. I'm not sure why I think this is cool, but I do.

And what % have you contributed Mike?

Roughly 2000 posts out of roughly 100,000 posts would be roughly 2%. The math is pretty easy when the denominator is a nice round number.

Where you away for awhile? Cus all of a sudden you sorta popped up and locked a thread that you attributed to me.

But with Kanos included?
And anyother aliases?

I forgot how many posts I've made as Kanos; I don't think it's that many. And I have no other aliases.

[sniff] I remember back to the days when me, Bean, GAT, and David controlled about a quarter of all the posts here. But no more. Oh well... welcome aboard, everyone.

You've got about 4%, and in total with the others mentioned, probably control 15%

It used to be, though, that really whatever thread was going on would have at least one of us actively involved, with the others stopping in every now and then. Now there are some entire threads that go on without us in any shape or form, and hardly any of the threads actually revolve around us. Those were the days.
I actually can't decide whether I like it better the way it is now, or the way it used to be. It was kind of fun to be able to control entire forums with just a few of us, but then we didn't get nearly as many other people stopping in every now and then.

Having been here since damn near the first day I can say that its quite an accomplishment and we've become quite the community here with everyone knowing everyone else, most of us have grown to know the more popular poster's foibles and it really feels like a small town or something like that. It was nice to see it grow as it has. MoO may mourn the loss of his near absolute power, but I say bravo. We all share and put in our fair amount of love and labor in this place.
Congrats Mike on making a wonderful place for all of us to gather.

As a member of the very first hour (it was the first hour of this board indeed when I joined - I'm user #4 after Wong, Kanos, and Robert Treder)
I have to say that 100000 posts within little more than three months are impressive.
I think it's the irony of life, though, that Wong, after he grew tired of debating fanatical trekkies, created SD.net so that he wouldn't have to deal with them individually anymore repeating the same arguments over and over again, and now, has set up this board at his webpage were he can debate with fanatical trekkies repeating the same arguments over and over again.

With my lame 40 posts I almost look like and ugly duckling in this place. Even the Village Idiots made more posts than I

If you're considering a career as a spammer think again.
Then again there are plenty of threads that you can make more or less pointless posts in without it quite being spam.

Exactly! You're catching one young one. Just look at Mr. Bean a master post count inflater.
And it helps if you sacrifice any and all the life you had before joining if you want a post count in the thousands.

Or a job where surfing the board looks like work to your boss

*scratches his head*
Now that you mention it, Stormbringer, I didn't have too much of a life to begin with...most of the time it's the dreaded univ+home combo.
Albeit I still have Bean's alternative approach to post-inflation problems
*goes off to find a dream job where he can surf the internet and eat donuts while still looking like he's working*
