Since tonight is Game 7 of the Ottawa Senator - Toronto Maple Leaf hockey playoff game I am willing to wager a friendly bet against any Leaf fan that is willing to participate.

This is how it goes. If Ottawa wins tonight, any Leaf fan participating in this bet must have a title of "Loser", or "Village Idiot" or "Sen's Bitch"(Leaf's Bitch if Toronto wins) until the end of the playoffs. But if Toronto wins, then I would humbly do the same and get such title until the end of the playoffs.

Any takers? And is this okay with Mike and the mods?

I would, but I'm not really a Canadian hockey fan. I'm only sorta kinda rooting for the Leafs. If they lose, no skin off my back.

Leafs' play has been way too inconsistent and shabby lately for me to bet on, and with Sundin & Nolan out it's too iffy. To be honest games 1 & 2 were the only ones where they played well, every other game they've won has been a fluke combined with godlike goaltending from Ed Belfour.

Meh, seeing Ottawa canned once again was good enough for me.

*shrugs* All I know is that it'll be another thirty odd years before they *might* have a sliver of a chance in winning the cup. While during that time Ottawa will have won it several times.

Actually it is the Leafs that whine. I know Ottawa will be playing golf early but I know that they'll soon win the Cup, just not this year. But I take confort in knowing that Toronto will also be denied the Cup.

BTW, there's a venting thread in the HoS where you can bitch and cry about how the Sens lost to the Leafs again in the playoffs.
