Who cares? It's about dinosaurs, and thus cool by definition.
Not that I understood any of it myself...
Congratulations, InnerBrat!!!

HUZZAH!
Go IB, go IB, go IB...
Maybe if I go to London for that infectious disease MSc. I can meet you.
I was rather hoping by UCL you meant University of Central Lancashire, then you'd be on my doorstep.

Although I do have a cousin at UCLan, I'm returning to my Alma Mater in London.
Which college would you be looking at for MSc?

Congratulations, InnerBrat! Nothing beats a student life, anyway
And it sounds so good when you're asked what you do, and you can say "I'm a PhD student"

I had been three or four months looking for a job when I was offered my current position. If you have a good deal to do a PhD, I think you ought to. Researchers usually make less money than people in the industry, but it's good enough and the work is sooo much fun.

UCL is the abbrev. for UCLan also.
I'm looking at maybe going to the London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine at the University of London, but it's pricey to live down south and I may be able to do a similar course at Lancaster still. But I've got the third year to deal with yet for my degree.

Congrats, IB. Ooh, the bird-hipped dinos. Even though birds evolved from the reptilian-hipped dinos...or so I've been told.

Will it sound immensely snobbish when I say that you'll probably get more prestige with a University of London degree?

Heh, I already factored that in, but distance and cost are my main concerns now.
We'll see.

Congratulations. I suppose for you this means less time on SDnet and more time studying, though.

Humpff, that is so much easier than starting with "you see, I am doctoring in mechanical engineering, but it is actually in the field of computational science, I am researching methods of optimization applied to real world supply chain logistics."
People usually stop following after the first sentence
