Sorry, but that must be a joke, much of that site is striking me as BULLSHIT, especially the bit about the queen spider...
EDIT: And it appears there is no such thing as an "Orange Magma Spider" strike two against the site for me. And that evolution bit at the bottom ain't helping the site.

Some of them, especailly the one about spiders theoretically being able to live forever struck me as being nonsense the moment I read them. Unless someone can verify it as being authentic, I say it's bullshit.

Good for a laugh! Sad thing is people will actually believe this shit!
A spider's carapace, if sufficiently scaled, could adequately shield a nuclear blast
This is great! Need to write to U.S. Army Soldier Systems Center in Natick, and see if they can make a helmet, and maybe some body armor. Nuke proof troops!!
"Federal Department of Spiders" ROTFLMAO! I wonder if it is a Cabinet level position?

No Wind Current or Shoecase Spiders on Google. As cool as it would be if this shit were real, it looks like it ain't.

Spiders can't be mammals since they lay eggs

Not live forever, but they are hella survivalists. There are stories from researchers who have locked spiders in containers with nothing more than a thimble-full of air to survive on, kept them there for over a year, and let them out and they were just fine.

Spiders can "balloon" on the wind with their silk, but that's about the only fact on the entire page. Spiderlings of some species release these parachutes or "balloons" shortly after hatching in order to disperse.
I saw a pretty big orb weaver of some sort sailing across a pond with one of these parachutes as a kid in Ohio, even.
But spiders spending there entire lives aloft is, AFAIK, bullshit of the purest ray serene.

I thought baby spiders just put out a few strands of webbing to float to a new area, not .. weave parachutes and fly high above the land o_O.

That's exactly what these "parachutes" are, just strands played out.

Ah well, anyone stupid enough to believe any of those "facts" will probably think of a literal parachute =D

I wish they'd switch to using Polish parachutes.
Polish parachute...opens on impact!
