Animated Sigs?

Should we place limits on animaations in a sig. Some people have monsters in their sig and it's a real pain for those of us with slower computers.
So should they be limited? If so how?

Too many animations on a full page is annoying. And if you do use an animation, keep it simple. The smileys are cute. But something big is just annoying.

Yes, they should be limited to small animations. When I'm at home on the dialup connection, I start loading a thread, come back a short time later and wonder why the damned thing is still loading. Then I see animated sigs, moving sluggishly as my 56k modem struggles to bring them to my computer.
Granted I don't have this problem at school, but the connection at school is 40x faster, at least, and I do most of my posting at home.

I don't really mind the animations, but if someone comes in here with the movie Dances With Wolves playing in their sig, I would be annoyed. If someone has too many animations, have a mod remove a few, for our convienence.

Just a smiley is enough.

I believe that four lines of plain text should be enough for signature. A sig is an id tag, not drive-in.

Hell, I had the biggest sig by far, and it was dial up :p
