I have to say I'm not impressed by M. Night Shymalan. I liked "Unbreakable" but more for the fact Sam Jackson was in it. Sorry Ver, Z.

I agree with Joe: Lawrence Kasdan's influence on Star Wars can be seen. Honourable mention must go to Leigh Bracket, who died of breast cancer after writing the first draft of ESB.

James Cameron is pretty good when it comes to writing action packed movies. T1, T2, Aliens are excellent films not only from a visual aspect, but the script as well works.

I nominate Akira Kurosawa as my all-time-favourite.

'Unbreakable' is my least favourite of his movies. His style is just very individualistic, in my opinion. For his age, his pictures are very clearly his, and I find that very impressive.

It's not that I didn't like it, exactly; it just wasn't at all what I was expecting. Unfairly, I was expecting to be taken by storm a second time, as I had been by 'The Sixth Sense.' 'Unbreakable' is a much slower movie, and one which I predicted too easily to be very taken with it.

I also think Stephen King writes his films fairly well. I mean, as a novelist, he wouldn't be expected to be a film writer, but I think he does pretty well. Well, except for The Langoliers.

I saw Van Helsing last night, and the scariest part of the whole movie, by far, was the trailer for The Village.

In just thirty seconds of trailer, M. Night captured my interest and my fear and made me really want to find out what's going on in that movie. And the "rules" to the village are just awesome and creepy. ("That color excites them. We must bury it.")
