19 years ago, birth control failed...

And here I am today!
Yes, I'm told I was indeed the product of a birth control failure.
Sadly I spent my birthday at home doing nothing but watching TV and recovering from a mild case of the flu. Bleh.

Vald: "Matey"? Have you turned pirate?
Happy birthday Uraniun!
Think of it this way, you'll have to make up for a lack of a party this year with a bigger one next year!

Don't think of it as an accident, next time they bring it up tell them that they were foolish to think that their punny walls of plastic and latex could possible stop You!

That's impressive, not many people know the exact day of their conception. I commend your parent's bookkeeping.

Oh, goddamnit.
Well, I guess it still works if you go strictly by the words "birth control" and call it a failure only if the baby is actually born (i.e. no miscarriage or anything). Or if you classify "birth control" as "the great anti-baby conspiracy".
I think I'll go with the second one.

My parents told me I was conceived on a whim. Now I begin to wonder...
Happy birthday!

That's a bit depressing, you know.
Could be worse. They could have said something like "we went to the clinic a week late."
Happy birthday, though.

Personally, I think it's amusing that I'm the result of failed birth control (I'll have to ask my mother what exactly it was). It's not like my mother got mad and said "you were an accident!", it was all in good spirits.
