Very impressive shep. You have pics of three of the aircraft near the top of my "must see list".

These Iraqi's are pretty damn clever; I never knew wood was explosive.

Hey now, don't diss the USAF because of it's golf courses. First off, all the other branches have them, and secondly, the one on Andrews is a damn fine course. ;)

Nice pics Shep. Brings back fond memories of the days when my family used to go to the airshows at Beale and I think it was Mather field Air Force bases.

So, that's what they have Strykers doing these days... :D

Ok, bad joke. *runs*

Sorry about quoting images, but the "joke" works so much better that way. :)

Yeah, but it should have stayed "Lightning II" like it started. :)

Not that Raptor is a bad name for a aircraft it just seems like a pop culture bandwagon name considering how popular the name "raptor" became after Jurassic Park. As soon as there was an NBA team named The Raptors they should not named the plane "Raptor".

So, as far as I'm concerned it's the F-22.

Bah, all they have to offer is a Yak and a L-39?

You just wait till I go to Zhukovsky in 2005 for MAKS, I'll show you .... :x

I´m about 90% tempted to do the same after having just yesterday visited the ILA 2004 and finding to my frustration that there wasn´t a single Sukhoi present. Their displays used to be the Highlight.

OTOH there was a nifty "History of air warfare" show with Focker Triplane, ME-109, Yak-3, Yak-11, P-51, Hurricane, F-4U, B-25, Vampire and about 3 dozen others I can´t be bothered to look up now.

PS: Once I get past a number of problems involving my digita camera, Webhosting and the world holding a grudge against me i may do a similar thread.

I'm determined to go to Farnborough sometime and see the stuff there and post back piccies when I get a decent digicam.

Good pics, Shep.

The F-22 looks fantastic, gorgeous aircraft... it still on target to enter service by 2010 (last I heard...)
