Tonight I will go through the formal ceremonies of graduation. Ofcourse I don't get my diploma til tomorrow cause my school is stupid. Already have done two practices and let me tell you I'm not looking foward to it. My graduating class is over 900 people.
Thank, oh how about Zues, for Gameboys and Zelda.

Well, congrats, guys. Don't feel too bad about the diplomas being late, because we didn't get ours for two weeks after graduation (those morons).

Congratulations, you have taken your first step toward the realization that you had it much better off in high school.

Fuck high school, man. That shit was the worst four years of my life. College vs. high school is like getting a BJ vs. slamming your cock in a car door.
EDIT: But to actually be on topic, congrats, guys. Hope the next four years (or a career) is better than your high school days.

No, getting your cock slammed in a car door is paying 200 dollars for a textbook that you will only likely use once for that class (and then only getting 30 dollars back for it from a used book seller because they released a newer edition of the book and no one uses that edition anymore) or shelling out 500 dollars a credit for a course, passing it, and then finding out that it's no longer necessary for your degree thanks to them changing the requirements again.

Well, I usually got my textbooks used. And those I had to get new never cost 200 bucks. If they had, I would have mooched off someone else. And if you're paying 500 bucks a credit, it must be a private school, which I'd take any day over a huge ass state school where the profs not only don't know your name, but don't even bother to teach the class (handing the job over to a TA instead). Not to mention that the subject matter in college classes is actually interesting and challenging, which certainly couldn't be said for my high school experience.

I'm going to have a real job, at the Bird Sancuary that I have been volenteering at for the past 4 years. Recently 2 of their employees quit(leaving one full time and one part time plus a supervisor) and one of the employees said that the supervisor was excited when she heard I wanted to work their.

I've spent about £200 on textbooks this year on top of the basic £40 textbook from the first year (just bought a little physiology book though I'd rather have Gray's Anatomy).
Thing is, they're interesting enough in my freetime anyway so even if I don't use them all in the future, Ill read what interests me.'

I think left to right, but I wasn't really paying much attention at the time. High school graduation was tedious, not exciting or special in any way.

Congrats to you guys. I'm graduating a week from Tuesday. I'll be getting my diploma at the reception thing after the ceremony. Maybe I'll call in sick that day. Bloody waste of my time.

Yep. My university's commencement was a week and a half ago, and I remember it was right to left. It was kind of funny, though, cause they didn't tell us (and no rehearsal, that was great, "figure it out" kinda thing), but since a few people started with it on the left, everyone else followed suit, and we walked in with it on the left. We were supposed to switch it when the Dean said, "I now confer upon you the degrees which you have earned." *shrug*

Well the real ceremony went faster than before but there were a lot speeches (one that ended in a line from a certain overplayed this time of year Greenday song that made me cringe) and other crap.
Ian Perry Joplin Class of 'O4
Cum Luade
Distinguished Diploma
National Honors Society
Judson Scholars.
Then just spend time with some of my friends, been awake for 24 hours with out the aid of caffine.
Then I come home and find out that the founder of the bird sancuary called and I'm hired, he'll be calling me on Saturday(which will be my last day volunteering there, probably about 700 hours over the past 4 years).
Going to go to a local college(probably San Antonio Community College) first two years then transfer to Humbolt State.
