Get it. NOW.

If you're down, it'll cheer you right up. And if you're not, then you'll be fucking over the moon.

This has been a public service announcement.

Thanks for the heads up. I'm going to have to check that out. One of the funniest men alive :)

That's because he's as hairy as a gorilla and sweats like pig.

Indeed. And he talks and improvises at an ungodly speed.

Robin Williams is God. I must go see his gospel.

Too bad the DVD cuts out some of the segments. :(

Shit. It's 2 years old! You should have bought it (or watched it on HBO) when it aired, or else you miss out on half the current news reference (NYPD having a new 'catch and release' policy, search around in either N&P or OT for the relevant thread).

I watched it hundreds of times already. It's sort of a Bible to me and my friends at the university :) We even sometimes play out some of Williams sketches :>

The guy is brilliant. Few months ago I could recite the whole Broadway thing from memory.

- I got an idea for a fuckin sport! I knock the ball in the gopher hole!
- Oh, like pool?
- FUCK POOL! Not with a straight stick, but with a little fucked-up stick! I knock the ball goes in the gopher hole.
- You mean like crocket?
- FUCK CROCKET!...

And the guy's ability to impersonate people, with their accents and dialects is just outstanding.

There is his another show, form 1984 "Live at the Met"
It's even better than "Live on Broadway". Unfortunately I cant find the movie version, the only thing I had were the mp3's I could listen too.
"Cops" is just pure classic. Or "Khadafi"

"What, the only people flying to the Middle East now are terrorists. Will you be sitting armed or unarmed?"

:D :D

Oh, I have that one on tape.

I caught Live on Broadway when it was...well, live. We made a bit of an event out of it. Fun night all around. The end bit where he's impersonating cunnilingus tends to make me wince. Eugh, rubbing a hairy, sweaty arm over an equally sweaty face...

Dalton, you are one very lucky guy to have Live at the Met on tape.

I want too :)

Is there a possibility to capture the tape onto some DivX and upload it somewhere?

BASTARD!!! :P

Still the DVD does have a few parts they cut for time.

All in all I still love the golf skit.

Hmm...

I'll look into that possibility. Unfortunately, I have no video capture devices, so I'll see if there are any places that can transfer a videotape to VCD.

P.S.: I love your sig.

Hah, that bit (albeit disgusting) made me laugh the hardest! That, and the aforementioned "golf invention" bit.

I caught it when I was at home. I saw it in the channel guide about an hour before it started, so I watched it with my parents and my sister. We were all dying by the end.

He's good and all, but I'm really hoping to see Bill Bailey soon, provided I don't find tickets sold out again.

Alright, if any of you will accidentally find "Robin Williams - Live at the Met" on some torrent or emule network, please let me know, kay?
Thanks.

And while we're on the subject of the Broadway show I feel I should add that you can get the DVD for $10 at Wal-mart. Hilarious and cheaply priced, gotta love it!

EmKay, you can also try Amazon or eBay or something.
