ME!
Born February 10, 1961. Graduated High school, class of '79. (Sweet young thing responding to Al Bundy's bragging about the year he was All State Champion,) "Gosh, I wasn't even BORN yet!"
Do I have the dubious title of Oldest member of SD.net?
ANYBODY else in their 40s?

A few 30s are here, but few and far between.
My old fart friends are bemused by my being a member of this site, and never cease to be impressed by the depth of knowledge I can plumb from this group. Why do you bother, they ask.
I never lost the wonder of my journeys into faraway places, real and unreal. The realm of imagination seemed boundless. We were going into space, the final frontier. (Yes, they called it that before there was a ST TOS) I was to be a part of it, if only a spectator. My first telescope showed me the stars that I one day hoped to visit. I watched men walk on the moon, and the world get bored with it.
Much has happened since then, but I still use a telescope to watch what I know my distant desendant will visit some day. (I hope)

Am I the oldest here, of the still young of heart?

I think you are the oldest here. I'm on of the "older" ones at 33. Which is pretty funny, since most of the people at work are older than me. So I'm still a kid to them.

Happy Birthday!

When someone tells us how old they are in the first couple sentences of a post, I think we just assume it's a birthday thread, skip the rest, and post our spa- well wishes. :P

Chrostas, take comfort in the knowledge that you are younger than both of my parents. By three whole years.
