I watched it for five minutes and couldn't get past how much Tom Selleck doesn't look like Ike.
If Religion and Politics were characters on a soap opera, Religion would be the one that goes insane with jealousy over Politics' intimate relationship with Reality, and secretly murder Politics in the night, skin the corpse, and run around its apartment wearing the skin like a cape shouting "My votes now! All votes for me! Wheeee!" -- Lagmonster

Recorded it, but didn't watch it all yet.

But from the few parts I've seen, it looks like a good movie.

Well, considering he actually said things like:

"When I am right, I get angry. Churchill gets angry when he is wrong. We are angry at each other much of the time."

"You may be sure that the Americans will commit all the stupidities they can think of, plus some that are beyond imagination."

"When I want to know what France thinks, I ask myself."

"I was France."

Caught the last half. I was hoping for a more realistic portrayal than the idol-worship, Ike-can-do-no-wrong treatment, but I suppose it's to be expected.
That's the wrong way to tickle Mary, that's the wrong way to kiss!
Don't you know that, over here lad, they like it best like this!
Hooray, pour les français! Farewell, Angleterre!
We didn't know how to tickle Mary, but we learnt how, over there!
