Hey, everyone! I'm back!

*ducks retalitory volley of gunfire*

Anyway, I really had a blast in Phoenix. Natually, I was totally enthralled by the weather (it was raining when I left, it was raining when I came home. Blah.), and went around poking my nose into virtually everything interesting I could find.

Went to see the ASU campus in Tempe. Very nice place. Thinking of putting in an application just for the hell of it.

Tempe itself was a gogeous place, especially Mill Avenue. My dad and I ended up going there three times.

Went tubing down the Salt River, earning myself the only sunburn of my trip (but it was worth it).

Checked out Lake Pleasant - really wish I could've spent more time out there. It has one hell of a marina. I hate to bash my hometown (yeah, right!) but it's pretty sad that Phoenix has a better waterfront than Buffalo. Oh well.

Went to Sedona - fucking beautiful, man. My favorite part of the trip.

Came back with one dragon poster, two CDs (the Van Helsing soundtrack and some psychedelic one that piqued my interest), one DVD (the Van Helsing prequel), three books (one vampire novel and two WH40K), one t-shirt with a rattlesnake on it, and a new pair of sunglasses.

Got laid twice.

Went hiking in the moutains near Casa Grande. Laughed my ass off when my dad's 'shortcut' left him with a cactus spine in the leg (then I helped him get it out).

Went swimming a lot - really missed doing that.

Saw Van Helsing (fucking A), Shrek 2 (hilarious), and The Day After Tomorrow (*waggles hand*).

Took 27 pictures, will get them developed tomorrow.

Scribbled down lots of fanfic notes in my spare time when I had nothing better to do.

All in all, a great trip! :D

That's nonsense, ASU Main is quite livable for the spring and fall semesters. And that's coming from a native Oregonian.

Kuja, ASU is a prefectly decent university in most respects. Just be sure you can handle the weather and be sure you can handle such a huge fucking community. It's very easy to get lost and feel like a number: I'd not recommend it unless you're sure what you want to major in.

Oh, and resign yourself to the fact that the dorms suck balls but you want to live in them anyway.

For some reason a lot of the ol' school residents of Arizona were brainwashed into thinking coolers worked well and were a lot cheaper than a/c.

Considering all the hassle, maintenance, water usage, mold and you still use electricity why not pay slightly more and have your house feel a heck of a lot better. Especially during monsoon season when the humidity makes the coolers worthless.

I scoff at your (our?) puny "monsoon season". Come up to the Pacific Northwest where we get fucking real storms.

You went tubing?
It didn't even top 100 while you were out here!
I stay out of the river when it's this cold. :D

Laid twice? Out-of-state? Damn...

That sounds like you had shit loads of fun man. With lots of cool little trinkets for it. Glad to have ya back man, wasn't the same without your ego to make things interesting. I still need to see Van Helsing and Shrek 2... damnit.

Technically monsoons really only applies to the change in wind currents but since it usually brings rain with it everyone associates them with rain. :D

Really, other than some really good lightning I can't say the storms down here are all that bad. The bad thing is that Tucson is still barely a step removed from a third world country when it comes to it's infrastructure. Water drainage in particular is horrible and I find it irritating that there are still major waterways that don't have bridges over them because they are dry most of the year.

Yes. yes you do.

Well, the first two are certainly no problem. Not sure on my major, though. :)
