The only thing I've ever enjoyed more than any given sex act was the time I got to beat a guy to within an inch of his life knowing the cop present was looking the other way. The guy really deserved it, and I really deserved to do it. Having that kind of power over someone (and then watching them get arrested) is better than anything else. And I got a very sexual high from it to boot.

A close second to sex is Battlestations breakfast. Anyone who's gone through Navy bootcamp knows what I mean. Battlestations is an all-night PT marathon (on no sleep) that involves the laser shooting range, swimming, hauling dummies, and running several miles with a shitload of gear on your back. Then when it's over, they file you into the chow hall and give you all the food you can stand. It's like eating stoned (I've heard). The food isn't all that special, but you're really hungry and really exhausted, so it tastes great.

I had two or three personal pizzas doused in hot sauce, a few plates of pancakes, bacon, scrambled eggs, corned beef hash, like four glasses of Coke, and donuts. Heavenly.

That's disturbing on so many levels, you know.

Not as disturbing as what he did to earn it.

Oh, I've no doubt about that. It's the fact you could derive physical pleasure from it that disturbs me.

It involved a sedative in my drink and some places on my body I didn't invite him to.

Son of a bitch. :x I'd fucking kill someone who did that to me. Jail or not.

You have a lot of restraint. And my condolences.

I can kind of see Metrion's point of view. I'm not a violent person, but I seriously believe I could kill the guy who murdered my friend's 17 year-old sister and probably feel very little remorse for it. The fucker bought a knife several days in advance & stabbed her 40 times because she wanted to break up with him. There is no punishment on Earth that could possibly compensate for the damage he has done. Having said that, I'd probably not derive any actual pleasure from the act.

On a rather more cheerful note, I sometimes derive almost sexual pleasure from listening to really good music.

Yes, beating people in a fight is a wonderful feeling. Especially more with choking than striking, because you can feel them slowly collapsing.

Don't be a dick. Beating up someone is NEVER worth feeling good about. You can feel good because you've subdued someone who might have otherwise harmed you, and you can feel good for having prevented unnecessary harm or defending yourself, but it's not right to feel good just because of the violence you inflicted.

And yeah, I've been in situations where the fact that I was the biggest male present meant that I had to subdue someone who would have seriously hurt themselves or others (or was trying to), but I never had to beat someone to within an inch of their life to accomplish it. Like it or not, the law exists to protect not only the innocent, but in some cases, also the guilty.

No, beating people feels pretty good. One time I was jumped by four guys at school.. well, they thought I was a puny asian and decided to pick on me.. I wailed on two of the guys, the other two got me.. but I had a grand old time and afterwards whenever we passed each other, nothing but respect. :-)

Beating up people is at best a momentary enjoyment but one that leaves far too many regrets.

So you're stronger? And?

You're essentially getting respect from a group of people that aren't deserving of it most likely and only because you can best them in an activity that well is pretty much easily resolved with a simple neck jab.

Defeating someone in combat has it's merit(and no, I'm nottalking about being jumped and hornswaggled), because then it's a test of mind and skill.

Beating up an idiot is nothing to be particular proud of.

It's not about being victorious in competition. It's about the fact that you hurt someone. Congratulations, you're a neanderthal.

Yeah, young guys often think it's fun to beat on each other, sometimes in jest, other times just for the hell of it. Luckily, this is because they're fucking stupid. When people become intelligent as they mature, they no longer feel the need to hurt others as a method of feeling good.

No it isn't, every time I've done it I ended up with the shakes and jangly nerves for the rest of the day.

Beating my BF in a playfight is fun, being involved in a real fight is something I hope I never have to do again.

Metrion, you had me thinking you were some kind of nut until you told us what he did to warrant the thrashing :o

And like jmac, my nerves get shot to hell after get into a physical confrontation with someone. Not fun and it only leads to problems.

Nah, people never grow out of it. Bullies pick on people because it gives them a feeling of power. People fight for so many reasons. Why does it feel good to some people? Have you ever taken martial arts, or done paintballing or something along those lines?

You come out bleeding, haggard but feeling absolutely great where you put your balls to wall to beat and get beaten. Fight club was absolutely right though, when you're fighting in a cordial atmosphere, it's fun. Like football as well I daresay.

When you and your buds face off and just go full tilt against each other. You're more than definitely going to get bitched, but you're grinning as you take and grinning as you give it.

Glad your perview is analysis of all human behavior.

And I have...beating a person is pathetically easy when they are untrained.

Nothing fun of it.

Right, because having a skilled opponent vs a moron is cordial.

So I ask you this...have you ever fought someone...not just thrash an moron?

Fight Club also missed one vital point...people don't fight because all it does is blow steam, which in general is caused by stress. Less stress less need to hit something.

I prefer drinking or hanging vs nearly killing my friends to see which one of us can stay standing after bleeding from the mouth, profusely

I very much doubt that I would enjoy going up to some random person and beating the shit out of them.

That said, on the occasions when someone has tried to enjoy the act of beating up me, there is a certain amount of satisfaction in simply doing it to them instead, and doing it better.

Beating some random person off the street? Not worth doing it.

Exacting poetic justice on an offender of some kind, on the other hand......would be really, really fun.

Yes I've taken martial arts, yes I've also taken a fair bit of self-defence and combat training, and yes it is fun to spar it out in class when you know no one's going to get killed or maimed. But this is where you're mistaken, a class, or a friendly fight with your buddies is not "going balls to the wall" or "full-tilt", it's not anything close to that, it's just a playfight, albeit an enthusiastic one.

Full-out is a life & death kick his ass now or be maimed or killed situation, full-out is when you stomp his knee and gouge his eyes out then stomp his head into the concrete sidewalk before he does it to you. Full-out is when you crush his throat before he clubs you in the head and rapes your unconscious body. That is what full-tilt boogie is, it's where if you fuck up, you are not going home, and you may not even make it to the hospital. It's not a fucking movie.
