The giants had better fucking well win. Right now it's 1 to 4 Anaheim in the top of the 5th.

Anaheim pulled a victory out of their ass yesterday, I hope the giants can do it now.

I hate Anaheim. I want the rally Monkey to burn in hell.

Mostly becasue of what they did to my Twins.

That little fucker Eckstein, I hate him.

Of course, we've still got the NBA and NHL to put us to sleep with their way too long seasons.

Damn, Giants didn't win. On the other hands a California team won so I'm kinda happy. Plus, Firefly won't get pre-empted by baseball anymore so all in all not too bad.

You may bitch about the length of the NHL and NBA seasons, but honestly, one baseball game can feel like a goddamned season. That's why i stopped watching about 8 years ago ... during the strike. I haven't watched a game since.

That's why I only watch the defining game of the Series. Everything else is just really really boring.

Oh I agree. The only reason I've even had nominal interest in baseball the last year is because the Diamondbacks where the champs last year. Even then I only watched part of some of the WS games (the best being Game 6 when they spanked the Yankees).

Both the NHL & NBA have their faults but nothing is more of a drag than baseball. Look at all of the stats they keep just so people can have some reason to be interested in the game. Also, why is it that baseball games seem to preempt regular television so much more than basketball or hockey?

Bullshit. Baseball is barely even a sport. It's 90-foot dashes with breaks in between while someone tries to hit a ball.

If you're on the other side, you stand and wait for a ball to come your way before catching and throwing it to someone else.

Baseball is the only team "sport" where you can be overweight and hopelessly out of shape and still compete at the national level. It's just shameful.

Ever watched pro football? How many linemen are over 300 lbs of things other than muscle?

I grew up with baseball so I see its beauty and strategy. You people don't understand what a thrill it is to see to pitchers having a duel on the mound.

And every athlete will tell you that the hardest thing in sports is hitting a ball with a bat. At least, the ones I know.

How do you rationalise the fact that it's boring as shit?
