Possible exchange locations...

I'm considering doing an exchange next year if one of my subjects this year goes badly (in other words I'd be making the most of a [possible] bad situation)...
I am an Arts student majoring in History, Ancient Civs and Political Science.
My five main options (that I'm interested in)...
Towson U.
Colorado State U.
Western Washington U.
U. of New Mexico
U. of Ottawa
Please give reasons for the vote. Remember this is still all total theory at the moment.

I currently go to UNM, but I would suggest CSU. Colorado State is a much better school in one or two of those majors, but UNM is a major contender. I in fact almost went to CSU, but didn't even apply mostly due to financial reasons. UNM isn't that bad a school, it really isn't, but there are generally better schools out there. It's typically a good school, and I'm sure you would get a good education here. I'm not sure about the Ancient CIvs, but you could at least get a good deal of knowledge in the other two fields (for crying out loud, I'm a comp sci major with a russian minor!).
*decides he should have voted for UNM*
But seriously, research your schools first, but it seems that UNM is at least somewhat known around the board...
Also, it may depend on what kind of climate you like. If you like wet, don't come to UNM. If oyu like dry, UNM is your best bet (I have never heard of Towson, nor would I have any idea where it's at). I only know where Ottawa is becuase of the name, but know nothing of it, and same with the Washington school.
I hope this helps!

Ottawa's probably one of the best listed, however Dalhousie University in Halifax is much better.
It was also built from funds appropriated from Maine during the 1812 war.

Is that Ottawa, Canada, you're talking about?
If so, pick that one. We have great pizza joints.

Yeah, Governor Dalhousie raped the Yankees there, put like 500% tax on EVERYTHING in Maine. Ofcourse, he pocketed most of the money, but he did build the university with it.

Ottawa for sure, good school and lots of hot chicks. When I went there we had a a couple exchange students from Australia living on my floor, and we all had a great time. Ottawa seems to be the foreign exchange place since we had students from no less than 5 countries on my floor of the res alone, its awesome, you'll have a great time. It's also located right at the capital so it's good for political science stuff, and it's also a pretty city with tons of stuff to do in your free time.

Plus holding Canadian citizenship would make a stay in Ottawa a bit easier than in the US.
