The memorial was destroyed with a sledge hammer on 18th November 1993 by members of the so-called Anti-Nazi League, a militant Marxist organisation. The destruction was obviously well planned, as it was filmed by the Scottish Television and the press printed pictures of the destruction.

While I don't think anyone will recoil in fear. That is pretty disgusting that people would destroy a historical memorial site like that.

Wasn't Hess a war criminal?

I think I sum up the sentiments of the entire board when I say:

Last I checked the topic of this was Rudolf Hess's historic memorial being destroyed by fundies. Wonder why people are ignoring it?
