Does everyone think we decend on every Trekkie or Christian that shows his or her face like wolves on an injured caribou? Oh sure we flame the idiots, but there are several smart ones here.

Maybe because most of the Trekkies who actually show up here are, indeed, retards.

The ones that make the most noise and draw the most amount of attention are the idiots. They also come here with a chip on their shoulders trying to prove their point despite evidence and logic. As a result, they get flamed and tend to react badly. They take a stupid position and therefore things heat up because they do not concede.

We get the reputation because the thing that we do that gets the most attention and generates the most noise is smacking down idiots.

Actually if just once a Trekkie or a Christian that stumbled into ASVS or SD.net read the FAQ, the R&R etc, made a valid arguement backed by evidence and didn't resort to the same old cliches and fallacies then I think they'd be treated a lot better.

Yes there are some good Christians and Trekkies out there. Unfortunately they aren't here.

I can't remember a single time a Christian or a Trekkie expressed his opinion without coming under attack from others or being mocked by others. I don't think it's merely an opinion but a fact.

Im not a trekkie nor a christian but i do believe and God. But to tell you the truth most christians don't follow the bible, they make things up and frankly most of them are idiots. I've gotten into arguments with christians and we both believe in the same God. Frankly a smart christian is about as rare as a smart trekkie

When 99% of those that do show up are idiots, they get smacked down. Those, like Alyska and TheDarkling, that are intelligent are left alone and treated civily.

I won't. Because I know as soon as I start talking about religion I'll get destroyed in debates involving logic and/or lack of logic, and my public opinion will go down the toilet. In addition, I don't really have any interest in discussing religion on these forums anymore, unless it's about people's right to religion.

Actually, I should add that religion might be involved in my discussions of cliassical music. So...yeah.
