I think we still have a good supply on what is now "Lake Fowler" (Fowler Ave being one of the major roadways around here).

Oh, this was mentioned in the previous article about wind from Frances being sold on ebay. "the vials of rain, selling for one cent each, did not recieve any bids", or something like that.

The current bid of $3.50 adds to the humor, yes it does :P .

Guess you should've been outside with a Tupperware container instead of bitching about your misfortune that you got a bit of rain when other people have no homes now, hmm?

I just realized if I ran out to the lake right now I could get some water that came from the remnants of hurricane Frances. :D

First of all--I'm in ottawa not in Florida.
Second of all-as I explained in that particular thread Zaia--I was not making fun or belittling the people who have lost lives and property to that storm (and I have family in the bahamas that i'm trying to reach as well that I'm unable to contact). If anyone got that impression then apologies
Third--I was making a joke about a silly conversation I had with my boss about getting soaked on the way to work. I thought the line about 'we're not that kind of call centre' was kinda amusing.
Fourth--the rain was the heaviest rainfall that ottawa got in one day since records have been kept. Sure--nothing compared to what's happening down there but it still caused a lot of damage here as well even in it's extremely weakened form.

I say it's a step up. At least the rainwater can actually be bottled.
