School was canceled today because a huge snowstorm took out the power for about 7 hours or so. It just recently came back. Just thought I'd let all you guys at college that I'll be setting new records for being lazy on a Wednesday.

Im unemployed right now, so everday is a snow day!

We are expecting a big rain storm tonight and tomorrow. First rain in 6 months. Im sure thats gonna make everyone drive nice and slow....NOT!

We once had a power outage where I worked, and we all got paid for the 5 hours we spent sitting on our asses while the power was out.

Where abouts do you live, to get enough snow for a snow day?

Yeah, really, it's still something approaching 85 degrees down here without the heat index, almost 90 with. One heck of a winter we're having.

In Buffalo, we refuse to close until the snow's past your waist. During the brief period I lived in Toledo, OH, they closed for a few inches and I laughed my way through the day.

Upstate New York. But like I said, it wasn't really the snow, it was the power outage.

Supposed to be a Nor'easter today down on the Island. Not much so far.

You have snow already? In PA, there's never any snow. Just miserable, cold weather. You never see anyone getting off for extreely cold weather, do you?

I like it in the South when it snows. When they get just a quarter inch, they go crazy, everything shuts down, and everyone stays at home. While, in Buffalo, they can get 7 feet of snow and reach the point where they have to shovel their roofs, they act like everything is fine.

Once, I went to a school that was far away, and only acesible through backroads. Once, I got an entire week off school because of snow days because of that.
