For those of you who aren't from the United States, let me explain. We just lost our country to the far right. For the next two years, don't expect any enlightment from the U.S.

If all Republicans were Lincolns, that would be great. It seems however most in charge these days are Falwells.

Ah, come on man. Look at it this way, the Dems lost because they didn't have any idea's. Now that they are out of the leadership role's they can sit back and come up with some idea's that the more liberal people will like instead of resort to rehashing old scare tatics.

In Utah, I did the opposite of the nation even though it didn't work. I voted for mostly Democrats because the Repubs have a super majority and have becume lazy and have no new and fresh ideas. I'd hoped that if more Dems got elected the Repubs would have taken notice and came up with some good ideas to counter them. Unfortunatly that didn't happen in my state. But nationally, I'm happy.

Not quite so, but we'll see over the next two years, won't we?

Iowa's going to continue to lose money and business thanks to Vilsack (D) being re-elected governor.

Sometimes its just impossible to get rid of some politicians. Look at Davis in Cal. I mean what didn't he fuck up and he is still there.

Oh, that's ok. North Carolina's other senator is too fucking busy out campaigning for his chance at either President or Vice President, he doesn't give a flying fuck about the state. Maybe Libby will get in there and take care of business.

Did Dole win Kelly? I haven't heard.

Yeah, she finally took the majority. It was pretty close the entire time.

Whooo hooo, they just keep increasing the majority don't they. Good, I don't have to worry about any backroom deal to make a 50 50 slit turn into some ones majority.

Falwell? HA That ass is off in his on world I don't have to worry about him anytime soon even Bush hates him

Furthermore Pilot you can't in all honsetly tell me that CLINTON For that is still who holds the reings of power for this Party is still not the Clintons and Co is a good thing for the American people
And fuck who did you have officaly leading you?
TOM DASHALE,
The Democrats have nothing and have HAD nothing since Clinton Got elected, Its true as they say, What do Democrats run on?

Fear.. Thats all there is now-adays, The Democrats in my state never ran a SINGLE postive Aid about themsleves instead they spent close to $200,000 in Aids attacking the other guy....

Frankly I dislike the Preisdent, As long as Bush is in there I don't like it(But I liked Liberman/Gore a hell of a lot fucking less) but I know that Bush unlike Clinton's ME TO fokes at least has some checks on him, Cheany, say what you want but he goes down as ok in my book based on meeting the guy and what I know of his Record, Colin Powel, My Former CO Servered under him during the Gulf War and said he like the guy, Long as ther is a check or two on the monkey we should be fine for the next two years

Just to clarify, if the Democrats gained full control of congress and the white house, we'd be just a screwed but in different ways. People who didn't want to work would be compensated for their laziness, and those of us who did work out be taxed out the ass.
At least when you have one party controling one thing, and another controling another, there is somewhat of a balance. Now that the Republicans have full control, they can do just as much as they want. I'm happy with the fact that we'll probably get lower taxes and bigger military spending, but it pisses me off to no end that Bush will now get the go ahead to stack the Judicial branch with fundie after fundie.
Why the hell can't we have more than two parties, this fucking sucks!

We have four major parties. 8)

Two in the centre pushing towards opposite sides, one in the left, and one in the right.

And don't worry. While the U.S sinks more and more into the darkness, Europe will hold as the bastion of freedom of speech and from religion.

Equalite, liberte, fraternite

No offense, but I never expect any enlightenment from the US. The United States was a fairly progressive nation ... more than a hundred years ago (and that was only relative to other states at the time, not relative to modern states).

I'm dissapointed that Daschle won't be running until 2004. It's his leadership that didn't let us drill for oil, or cut taxes. I'm sure this congress will do more than the last, and we have enough moderate Republicans in congress to block any radical bills.

That's the idea. Get all the extremists together in a small island and leave them to reach an agreement or kill each other.

We may even videotape it and make a contest.

The ultimate survival
