Who cares? It's not like we'll ever need them. They just look good in the parking lot.

In a real fight, the portuguese army would be dead in the water in thirty minutes. NATO would defend us, if anything because we are strategically important, but a serious conflict involving Portugal would certainly be MAD and.. well.. there wouldn't me many things left to protect.

To fight some small stupid people/country abroad seas, in rescue missions and alike, we have a decent navy and the technological difference gives 1st world countries a complete advantage.
