Billy Boy has been giving money for awhile now incase you never heard of the "Bill and Milidia Gates Foundation" which is dedicated to the elimination of maliria and Ebola along with Small Pox and last year they added Aids

They have over 9 Billion in that Fondation but that never gets publised(Mostly beacuse Reporters use Windows 95 too )

Its PR plain and simple.

Are you talking about the bullshit about Microsoft being a monopoly because they give away free software in PCs? Or something else? I haven't paid attention to any of that stuff in the news since I heard these ridiculous claims that Microsoft is a monopoly for giving away free stuff. It's not hurting the consumers in the least bit. They are still free to use different operating systems and download other free software. Or even buying other operating systems if they really don't like Windows and such.

I'm pissed off at his attempts, and the attempts of others, to dismantle open standards with 'free' proprietary software. Also his unfair business practices, like forcing OEMs to pay the full price, instead of the discount for OEMs, for a license if they do not comply with M$'s rules. M$ has also forced people to upgrade software even when there is no reason to do so, in order for the customer to retain discount prices and support.

Oh and Bill Gates is only rich because he was at the right place at the right time, and managed to get the deal with IBM for DOS.

Once Palladium is fully entrenched, Gates will be the first information dictator. Rather than needing to kill dissidents he will simply be able to prevent the spread of information that leads to the creation of dissent. The fact that Gates gives away a handful of millions here and there does not change the fact that in a matter of a decade or two he will be in a position to reach the same ethical level as Adolph Hitler.
