Just got four teeth yanked from my mouth. My tongue is currently DEAD my bottom lip is DEAD and I got slabs of gauz crambed in my mouth.
Hehe. I loved the gas they gave me before they knocked me out. Made me feel all nice and gave me cool tingly feelings in my hands and arms. Great shit
Lol The nurse said I did a moon walk out of the operation room when they were done. Got no memory of it though
Ah well. Im still kinda buzzing from the anesthetic still but its all good.
Anyone else got some interesting oral surgury stories?

when they pulled 2 of my wisdom teeth they had me take some valium... well valium and i don't get along really well apparently... i had no forward or right side balance, but i could walk to the left and not loose my balance... talk about screwed up... and the gas did nothing.

My wisdom tooth extraction went very smoothly. I went to a wisdom tooth specialist, the whole thing took maybe half an hour, and I was lucid and walking out the door. I didn't even need painkillers.
A lot depends on how good the surgeon is; if he butchers your gums, he just blames the long recovery time and high pain level on you, knowing that you have no way of knowing whether this is your body or his clumsiness. I knew a woman who once had a piece of a drill bit left in her jaw by a fucking incompetent dental surgeon.

I've always come to the conclusion that I am the wisest woman on earth because.... I never had even buds to wisdom teeth.

Mine went pretty smoothly too. The only side effect I had was nausea for about 12 hours. I didnt have any pain which is good, because one day I tried one of the pain pills just for kicks and it made me feel really bad.
I was put under with an IV. It was interesting. They asked me to count backwords from 10. 10....9....8...7....(I feel fine, does this stuff work?)....6..
Next thing I knew I was waking up and it was all over.

About 12 hours after the removal of all four of my wisdom teeth, I ran a PFT and drilled most of the day. Damn drill instructors.

My wisdom teeth seem to be growing in in row behind my molars... no crowding or odd pain except for them pushing out through my gum... hopefully I keep my teeth so I have extras to chew with...

Hehe that sucks. I was lucky i guess. was able to walk and move ok. Just felt like I had a buzz from drinkin a few beers. The gas took quite awhile to affect me as well but once it did it was great stuff.

Pretty much the same for me. We went to a specialist and he did a great job and said the operation went well took about a half hour. I wasn't really all that worried cause this guy has done it for years and has a good reputation for wisdom teeth operations. I was still nervous a bit though cause this is the first operation ive ever had out of my 20 yrs of life so far.

I still have my wisdom teeth, my dentist said he won't pull them unless they start giving me trouble.
I've never had surgery, surprisingly, since I've broken my nose four times and the middle finger on my left hand right on the knuckle, as well as pulling two tendons in my left knee. All of those injuries I've recovered from without any sort of medication (except for aspirin the first time I broke my nose).

I only have wisdom teeth on the bottom, the top ones never sprouted. The ones I have grew in nicely so I don't think they'll have to be removed or anything. Question, does the lack of wisdom teeth make a person less wise?

I only have the top set of wisdom teeth, and they're wedged behind the teeh in front of them, so they'll never go through the gums, although I can feel them.
My best dental story......must be the time I had to get a pair of cavities filled. They gave me laughing gas, which didn't affect me at first. Then, I thought of some goofy stuff and counldn't stop laughing. The doc barely got the cavity filled.
A few days later, I came to get the second cavity filled. The gas hit me even harder this time, and they had to leave me alone in the room for a while before letting me drive home. It was awesome!

I say more wise. We don't have to go through the pain of having them extracted eventually.
