Heheh I loved 20,000 leagues as well. The idea of a secret nuke powered submarine in the 19th century was just too cool.

The ending was even more kickass......just as good as Verne's ending....

20,000 League Under the Sea was my favorite movie before I started watching the Star Wars OT regularly. 20,000 Leagues is a great movie.

If we assume a kid means pre-teens, then my favorite movies were the Star Wars Trilogy.

Well, I really didn't have a favorite movie per se until I was older.

But I'd have to say either Disney's Sleeping Beauty or *Batteries Not Included. If I really had to name one.

A New Hope....I dragged my parents to see it ten times over that summer. When it came out on video I had EVERY single line of dialougue memorized and it was a wonder for cousins and the like to test me at get togethers.

I was born a year after ANH came out. My earliest memories of Star Wars are related to watching ROTJ on a home video. Whenever I was sick as a child I would watch the OT over and over and over and over and over again.
