I was chatting with a person on AIM about reality (hard-core Christian who doesn't beleive in reality), and I decided to use the anti-sophistry argument. In essence, I told her that if she wanted to demonstrate that realiy was subjective, just jump off a tall building. She shouldn't be harmed by it.

Now she says she's actually going to do it.

Any idead on how to convince her to stop?

Why stop her? She's a "fundie," right?

Why would you want her to stop? I mean if she jumps off a building and dies, that's once less rabid religious fundie to deal with at the very least since it also keeps her from having any fundie kids.

Ask her where she's gona jump, bring a camcoder.

Sell the movie on the net and earn loads of $$$

Sit back and think for a moment. Is she serious? If she is your friend, does she have a history that would tell you that she could do this act? Or is she just getting a rise out of you?

If this is serious, call her loved ones, or even authorities to prevent her from hurting herself.

I think the loaded pistol in mouth demonstration of weather reality is subjective or not would be alot more spectacular.
