I usually find my whole attitude change after I watch a couple episodes. I have to say my "asshole" meter registers in the red after a good Tony episode.

I'm quite dissapointed that I missed the first two seasons because I thought it was an opera show.

No kidding. I hate every single one of the characters, but they draw you in and don't let go.

The Sopranos is a great show. A pity Ralph died last week though. He was my favorite character.

Dammit, Lennox! I missed last week's!

Anyway, in what way does the show glorify violence? How is Tony's sinking financial life a testament to the greatness of organized crime? How do characters portrayed as assholes doing assholish things encourage violence?

Yes, but the writing was on the wall a long time ago. It's a miracle that Ralph lasted so long. His death means open season on all the captains. Is anyone safe? Furio? Paulie Walnuts? Christopher? Sil? Johnny Sack???

Everyone is a potential target.

He's buried across the street from me.

No, I'm really serious.

Edit: Dammit! no longer a newbie.

I stopped watching it after I re-watched such greats as Goodfellas, The Godfather, Casino, Donnie Brasco, A Bronx Tale, etc. lol

Furio's doomed because he has a thing for Carmela.
