Memory wipe...

If you could have any one-year period of your life removed from your memory (and the memory of others), what period would it be? Why?
And, question two: If you could live any one-year period of your life again, what would it be?

No wiping...honestly my memroies are what make me today...and honestly I think I would be far worse off if I didn't have some experinces I did.
For reliving...my 24th year where my life truly went to hell more because of my arrogance and general lack of empathy towards my ex fiancee.

Senior year of high school ... barely passed, skipped school a lot, was the epitimy of the "worthless teenager" syndrome, didn't want to be there on so many levels. Four years later I grew up and went to college, where I excelled.

1=when I was 12, dealing with my second suicide attempt and psycological problems
2=when I was 15-16, when everything was going right and took my favorite vacation ever: Lake Powell.

No wiping. I'm just too well off.
But, I would love to relive the year 1992. I wouldn't do anything different, but it was just a GOOD year.

Wipe august '95 to same time in '96. That's one year I could do without, had too many good people I know die or otherwise fuck up their lives, family problems, school problems, health problems, depression, almost ended up offing myself. That year left me a wreck for a long time afterwards.
I'd like to relive this past year, it's been good to me. Everything settled down nicely and I got to be happy for a change.

1: None. Even the crappiest years, I gained something valuable. (Yes, I know it sounds like horseshit, but I firmly believe it, so shaddap)
2. The year 2000: I spent half of that year in Australia.

No wiping. My memories are too valuable.
As for reliving a year, I'd relive the summer of 1990. Rebecca and me in a little basement apartment by the lake. No obligations, no worries, nothing but the two of us together, penniless but happy. Good times.

No wiping.
I would relive my 19th year. I would shut my mouth at the military enlistment processing center and not volunteer some serious childhood illness'.
I also would have not bothered with a junior college that first year out of high school, but instead would have worked full time until leaving for the military.

Also I would skip on the second part unless I got to start over from there simply because I want that for knowledge(Espcilly if I got to go back to age 5 with the knowledge I have now intact. Bhwhahahha I would clean up on everything from the Stock Market to Crime fighting(Me knowing of course who was gonna kill who where and which burning building ect..)

Yes, I forgot to mention only if I can bring with me the knowledge I have know. Or at least actually change the mistake I would want to relieve.
It would be cool if we could live that change like Q did with Picard. I liked that episode.

If I could wipe any memories, I wouldn't.
If I could relive one year, it would be from August of this year on. Not because it was great or anything, but because I could change what I did wrong.

The only one I would be tempted to wipe would be my sixth grade year. I was the little fat kid, plus I wear glasses, had braces and headgear at the time, and had (and still have) a lisp. I only got into three fights that year, though I was depressed for most of the year, still don't really like to talk about it that much.
As for live over, I would just like to live over the first full week of April my senior year of high school. My drumline went to the indoor drumline world championships in Milawukee and won the bronze medal. I would just want to feel that kind of positive emotion and camraderie again. Of course, I'm fully expecting better things to happen over the next few years.

For wiping, I would want the period of time from September 1999 to September 2000 removed. It was a bad school year for me, and I look back on it and feel like an idiot.
For reliving, probably August 2000 to August 2001. That year was probably my worst school year, and if I start in August, I might have been able to persuade my parents to switch schools then. Also, I completely screwed my reputation up, and wish I could go back and change that.

No memory wipes, because memories are important parts of life. I'd relive my first year on this planet, 1985, thus reliving my whole life because I had a relatively happy childhood up until recently...around the beginning of tenth grade, 2000, was when things started getting less and less happy...I'd probably try to change things that year. Although I don't know how successful I'd be in doing so.

Wipes nothing. I'd re-live September 1999 only, reverse the decision I made then and, well........
