Lord_Woodlouse is in the hospital

Although he's not around that much, I thought I'd pass on the news from SB.com...

That's nasty, but it may be nothing major. It could be gastroenteritis or food poisoning like Campylobacter. While they can be fatal, that's an extreme worst case, though infected can throw up blood or have bloody stools.
All the best to him on a swift recovery. He may be from Yorkshire, but dammit, he's a fun man.

I was in the ER last night. The guy next to me had a partially collapsed lung and was hacking up blood.
Was WL a smoker? The guy next to me was, and a heavy one at that, if there is a relation.

Hopefully it was nothing more serious than an ulcer that had started bleeding. My dad, rest his soul, had that happen to him one night.
......... we never did get the blood out of the carpet.........

Hey, thanks chaps.
Just in case you were wondering, it was something to do with my stomach wall getting weak or somesuch. They kept me in hospital for about four days.
I'm now on some tablets to make my stomach not... er... bloody.

Sounds like Ulceration, just like my dad had. Just stay away from spicy foods, and drink milk. It helps heal the open sores.
