Men, women, pants, and skirts...

If I remember correctly, women benefit if the area of their body near the uterus is kept warm and the men benefit if their balls are at a relatively cool temperature in relation tot he rest of their body.
With that in mind, I remember someone of fairly high educational status (probably a teacher) telling me and some other people that men would actually be better off wearing dresses and skirts while women wore pants. This arrangement would be most beneficial for each gender biologically.
What do you people think?

I must admit that free-balling does feel good, but prevailing social prejudices mean that this is socially unacceptable. It also freaking hurts if your wearing the wrong kind of pants (read anything with a zip).
But I must admit that kilts are good. Comfortable and stylish.
I don't think you'd see me in a mini-skirt though. And hell, you probably wouldn't want to either.
As for it being biologically better, I don't doubt it in the least.

Comfortable maybe, but I don't think I would be all "mmm he's hot" to some guy in a prom dress. Now that's just me.

Sounds reasonable. Pants on men probably started when that was the only leg coverings that was suitable for the work they had to do. Though, given society's norms the way it is now is what people find acceptable. I prefer pants myself though.

I think the same goes for the transition to pants for women too as they entered the workforce. Its just more comfy and easier to move around in.

Just why I love kilts... So comfortable and convenient.

I have seen the light: I'm asking for a kilt for Christmas.

No, it's OK. I'm of largely Scottish descent.

There was a unit of soldiers in the US Civil War that wore kilts to exactly one battle, and then were threatened to be put on work duty if they didn't switch over to pants. I forget their number, but they were the New York Highlanders, and according to eyewtiness accounts, they wore kilts and freeballed. If I can find my book of weird Civil War stories, I'll be able to tell more about it.

The men of Fiji wear dress-looking caftan sorts of things. The ones I saw were ankle-length, making them look like very long dresses. Some of them were purple and those guys still managed to look rather manly wearing them. *shrug* Don't know how, but they did. Nice physiques, I guess? Can't see it catching on here, though... Too much of a national image problem for that sort of thing.

If you have Scots ancestry, make sure to get your clan Tartan, its not done to wear someone elses. if you have no Scots in you get Black Watch as any damn sassenach can wear that. Also, a kilt can be a bit pricy.

It maybe less healthy biologically but I'll stick to pants thank you very much. I am not for cross dressing.

To quote Kramer, "My boys need a house".
From a reproductive standpoint there is a good reason for allowing biology
to do it's job by not constricting the "boys" but athletic supporters were created to also protect reproduction. It aint good for the boys to be gettin' tossed all over the place and banged into, just like it isn't good for them to get too toasty (bad for the soldiers).

It sounds good in theory, but you wouldn't want to see me in a dress. Trust me.

I haven't got the legs for a skirt. That's why I never made it into cheerleading in highschool, and god knows how hard I tried...
But anywho, I really don't like dresses in general. I prefer women in shirts and pants
(if anything) .

Oh come now, I bet you have great legs. I am a leg conniseur. Men in skirts would just be a plus for me.

No, trust me, they're not. They're both really freakin' pale, bony and totally covered in scraggly leg dark hairs. Except for where I wear my socks, which is almost devoid of any hair, so I have to wear them hight or the hairline looks really wierd. Plus my knees are somewhat knobby.
Now crop-tops, on the other hand, I'm fine with. I like showing off my six-pack abs.

What?
The leg thing I already knew, but this crop-top thing is new to me.
Anyway, I woudn't be too bothered if I had to wear a skirt, but it'd have to be a full-length.
