What is the newbie policy here? How long must they be here to stop being newbies, when can they poke, etc.?
Just wondering.
Have a very nice day.

Like me, I felt the Iggy's poking tank, and like it

If he ever joined would someone poke him <hmmmmmmmmmm.....?>

I
was a Padawan until I lost thirty posts due to a thread pruning. Does that make me a newbie again?

No, just a lazy poster.
So, what is the deal with postcounts, then. N00bs are n00bs because they are NEW to the forums. Postcounts have nothing to do with it.

2 months after registering your newbie status is gone. Spamming only makes you stupid. Very stupid.

If this is directed at me.....
I know.
Most of the time I don't spam.
I was no longer of Newbie rank three days after I registered (or was it two?).

In 2 months you have almost 5000 posts. You spam.

Oh? Want to take a look at 80-85% of the posts I make? Most of them are rather intelligent, not spam.

In my opinion, it's what you learn that makes you a veteran. I'm sure it's possible to have someone who has been here since day one and be unknown. Also, being respected is part of being a veteran to this board in my opinion.

Usually the poking rituals last until a n00b has roughly 15-20 posts. By then, everyone's seen the n00b and poked it at least once.

Then see how many you have left after deleting all the spam posts.

Quite a few, I'm sure, but still enough to be in the Top Ten.

Then do it, go through all your posts and delete those that are spam.
