This is a tough one for me.

I like the Glock-22 because its a relatively powerful bullet but at the same time the gun can carry 15 rounds. This makes an ideal weapon for self defense because its powerful enough to reduce any threat yet at the same time has a good clip size.

I also like the Beretta 92FS. This pistol might only be a 9mm, but its a very well designed gun that can be customized relatively easily and can be ordered with many options. Internal laser sites, external but permanent sites. Ease of use with Silencer, good recoil supression, etc...

Then you go into the larger guns.

I think the MP5-A4 and A5 are very well designed. The A4 gives you decent accuracy at range and can be customized with many options while still retaining fair close range. The A5 is great because of its retracting stock making it a good variable distance weapon and comes with many of the same options as the A4. Both are quite rugged.

The M4 is also a good weapon. Decent firepower, especially when using full metal jacket and increased velocity rounds. Can be used in both long range and close quarters combat. Comes with a variety of useful modifcations. Relatively rugged weapon and has gone through plenty of field testing.

The G36 and its varriants are also quite nice. Built in scope, long range combat, carbine versions excelent at close range combat. Stock can be folded in to make for close combat weapon even with the assault rifle version.

For bolt-action, I'd have to say the 1903 Springfield.

Machine gun, the good ol' M60.

Pistol, Beretta 92F

Carbine, M4A1

Unless you mean an older version of the M60, its a bad choice. The current version can fire no more then 100 rounds at fully auto before the barrel overheats.

IMO the German MG3 is a superior MMG.

Hmpf.

Anyway both the M60 and MG3 were developed off the MG42. The MG3 just happens to be the superior MMG.

Large Gun: Jesse Ventura's 20mm Minigun (Wishing It would work)

It's real because Marine's and Navy tried to devlope a SAW Minigun after Predator, but it was to large, to heavy, and need a freakin Car Battery to draw power, and wouldn't be enough ammo on the solider to fire for long

WRONG.

The MG-3 is simply a MG-42 modernized to fire the 7.62 NATO round,
rather than the old German 7.92 Mauser round, and it was made by
taking apart a MG-42 and measuring each part EXACTLY, because
the plans for the -42 were lost in the war somehow.

The M-60 is in no way close to the MG-42. All it borrows is the feed
mechanism. It is closer to the FG-42 paratrooper rifle/LMG than
the MG-42.

According to this article the M-60 is a little more similar then you indicate.

http://world.guns.ru/machine/mg12-e.htm

While the M60 has many of its own design elements, it did draw from some other designs and MOST of those came from the MG-42. That in itself is not a bad thing since the MG-42 is a very well designed weapon.
