Yes, I am an idiot

I recently managed to combine Mr. Clean Industrial Strength dish cleaner, corn syrup, popcorn kernels, and vegetable oil.
I then heated the mess up to 300 degrees F.
Then I poured ice-water all over it. And knocked plant onto it.
The resulting cloud of smoke was so thick, toxic, and stingy that my eyes watered for fifteen minutes straight and I am still hacking. It took me 30 minutes to clean out the smoke with the fan going full blast and all the windows open.
Yes, I am an idiot.

No....really?
/jk. Why the fuck would you do that, exactly?
You don't use Mr. Clean to pop popcorn, much less a plant....

Now, just why would you produce such a concoction in the first place?

Well, I used the Mr. Clean to clean out the steak residue that was in the pot, and didn't get all of it out, then I put in the popcorn, then I mixed up corn syrup with vegatable oil, and put in a little of both, and then when I was opening a window to get the smoke out, I knocked over a plant...

When there isn't any Mountain Dew in the house, I mix Mr. Clean with some syrup. What you get is the same thing as Mountain Dew.
Did you now in Mexico, Mr. Clean is called "Don Limpio"?

If you want homemade chemical weapons I can suggest a few better mixtures.

Same here. At my old restaurant, we sometimes used a crude cyanide to clean the floor.

Yeah, it stank to high heaven, and you'd feel a little lightheaded, but it cleaned that floor like nothing else.

Bleach was in it, as were several other chemicals, one of which being a degeaser, a drop or two of which can give you a nasty chemical burn.

Seriously, when I had to clean the glasses with it once a month, I had to stop the whole dishwashing process, and give the glasses two runs through with normal water to make sure all the degreaser was gone.

Latex ones by chance? If you're allergic to that you should get a medical bracelet with the information or at least have it in your wallet.

They weren't latex...some sort of rubber.
