Just now, I have ordered four new books for my growing collection of history-related texts.

"The Fifty-Year War: Conflict and Strategy in the Cold War" by Norman Friedman

"The Art of War" by Sun-Tzu, with an intro by Samuel B. Griffith.

"The Influence of Sea Power upon History, 1660-1783" by Capt. Alfred Thayer Mahan

"The Western Way of War: Infantry Battle in Classical Greece" by Victor Davis Hanson

This will be added to my existing collection:

"A Short History of World War II" by James Stokesbury

"Downfall: The End of the Imperial Japanese Empire" by Richard Frank

"Dirty Little Secrets of World War II: Military Information No One Told You About the Greatest, Most Terrible War in History" by James F. Dunnigan and Albert A. Nofi

"An Autumn of War: What America Learned from September 11 and the War on Terrorism" by Victor Davis Hanson

"Carnage and Culture: Landmark Battles in the Rise of Western Power" by Victor Davis Hanson

"The Soul of Battle: From Ancient Times to the Present Day, How Three Great Liberators Vanquished Tyranny" by Victor Davis Hanson

Watch out, Marina and Phong are going to turn me into a monster. :D8)

YES! Military History!

Also, order The Art of War in the Western World. It's good.

Also, get The African American Encounter With Japan and China: Black Internationalism in Asia, 1895-1945. I could use some more money.

Downfall and Dirty Little Secrets are both good books. I own Downfall and am about 90% done with it, and have read DLS three times.
