Stupidity in Yosemite
Yawn, sigh
First off the Tourists try to see if they can ignore the Employee's only lounge (Where I work Bar this winter) Isn't there anywhere else in Yosemite Valley where they can go to get food? I rattle off the Many places that are still open. They go on about how they want to eat here (Because the prices are about half what they are in the Non-Employee's only venues),
Then, the first batch of First Year 19 through 26 year olds give me a hard time because I card EVERYONE who looks under Thirty Something. Of course everyone who I card is either too young trying to sneak past me, or in their early twenties (90% of them are exactly 22-24).
Then I have Some idiot muscle his way in, trying to get Quarters for the Game, demanding them NOW, while I'm in the middle of pouring beer, for the person whose in front of the register.
Oh well, it wasn't so bad until I headed home. I got about half a mile, before I found a dead Coyote, in the middle of the Road. Hitting my breaks, I pulled over, turned on my Breakdown lights, put on my head lamp, opened my back hatch, and pulled out my flat head shovel. With My Headlights on for illumination (Mostly for everyone else on the road.
I had just carefully moved the dead wild dog off the road, and somebody comes zooming buy at about 50mph in a 25mph Zone. Why, just Why do people have to be in such a big rush while travelling trough a wilderness zone at night.

Ask people for their 'employee id card'. When they ask why, smile, and tell them it's a new policy because too many non-employees were taking advantage of the employee lounge. Then just stand there and look at them, waiting for their id card.
If they argue, tell them the last guy got fired for serving a non-employee.
It doesn't matter if there is really such a thing or not, non-employees won't know.
And you did a good deed tonight, I'm sure the WolfFather is pleased.

Or just the polite The Lady is getting her drinks right now, I will take care of you as soon as I am finished with her. Then proceed to TQS the person I am serving. Also threatening to call the sheriff when they reach into the Tip Jar trying to get their Pool & Videogame fundage out of my tips.
I really hate some of the fucks that I have to work with.

Working with the public can be both frustrating and rewarding. I used to work at Circuit City. Near the time I left, they walled off the warehouse so the customers no longer walked up to us to pick up their product. It was supposed to be more efficient, but really it was about reducing manpower and shrinkage.
It sucked so bad, cause you lost the interaction with the customer. You were supposed to magically be waiting for them when they arrived from the cashier. This didnt work in reality cause after paying for a purchase most people would go gather the kids, spouse, whatever.
Anywhoo, one time some German lady bought a microwave and she wanted me to load it into her truck. No problem, I opened the camper shell to see the entire bed filled with roof tiles. She expected me to throw them away for her. I told her we are not a municipal dump and that she was out of luck.

Last year someone down the block from me was getting a new roof and having a couple rooms redone. For this they needed a fair sized dumpster which had to be parked in there drive way.
Second night it was there someone came by and threw in a full sized refrigerator and the next night a small couch got thrown in. They took up so much space they had to pay a couple hundred dollars to get a second dumpster.
They had that one placed in there back yard, which while keeping other peoples trash out of it also totally destroyed there lawn. It also resulted in damage to there driveway from the weight of the truck that had to drop it off, which was why they wanted it at the front of the driveway in the first place.

I don't know I haven't read it yet.
I did a search using the key phrase "The Right to Arm Bears" to get the graphic from the Terrorist Group "Earth First" (I have two or three copies of the Bear with the Solidarity fist, or the Bear with the AR-15 versions from the websites in support of the Terrorist group, but I liked the Gordon R. Dickston's Graphic better. Actually Sheppard told me about the Green Beret bear when I gave him one of the terrorist support Tee shirt pics to work with. oh for a link to where to find the Bear with the AR-15 pic.
