doom was better of course. better grafics, more guns, more monsters...
since wolfenstein is way older they´re not really comparable.

Remember there's *2* Wolfensteins: Wolf3D (the old one) and Return to Castle Wolfenstein (the new one which uses the Quake 3 engine).

the new one sucks.

id software also brought up gems like commander keen and duke nukem 2D back in the early nineties. they were damn cool games.

But Nazis go boom. No i like both of them almost the same, I just never had Doom, only played it a few times.

First off I only playd Doom a few times and that was at a LAN party. Wolfenstein however I had every damn episode. I played them and beat them many times over. Even as little as I played it, Doom seemed to start suffering from the 'enter room, blast away.' even though it did have secrets and some tricks. Wolf though, you had a damn gun, machine gun, and if you were lucky a gattling gun. It's safe to say that the grandfather of all FPS rules the day still.

DooM is better. I hated Wolf3D. The friggin' map layout made no sense.
