In my school, there is a Christmas dance coming up in about a month. Today, I decided to ask someone out to it. They said they were going out with someone else. I don't believe them. I would really like to go with her to the dance, but I have a problem. And yes, I could go with someone else, but I only know about a dozen s, and I'm expecting similar responses from them.

Don't go that way. Unless you have clear signs the girl is unhappy, you're just getting yourself into trouble, for no purpose, and will get hurt.

What if they all say they're busy/dating someone else? I'm sure many of them are making stuff up. Some I haven't tried asking. I'll build up the nerve to ask them, and they just might say yes.

Worst comes to worst, go stag and make sure you look REAL good. It usually works out fairly well, IMHO.
