Any advice. I mean the base corelinux system takes up around 200 MB, then X takes up around another 150. The swap takes up 64 MB. The kernel source takes up 150, which means about 564 used up. Then I have to install all the libraries and I haven't even installed all the support files for KDE apps yet, since I want KOffice (don't want the WM, using BlackBox). What is the bare minimum configuration needed to only run KDevelop, KOffice, Phoenix, and Xmms?

Go buy yourself a bigger hard drive

I can get 20 Gig drives for less than 40$ nowadays you should be able to find ten or fifteens for near that price!

Yeah, HDs are cheap and if you need a controller card, they're cheap too.

Yeah, you can get a good 60GB drive for a few more bucks than what a 40 gig drive costs.
