If you have a Gamecube or a friend with a Gamecube you really need to check this game out. If your like me and 8bit from the day, then check this out. It's beautiful. Once you get used to the controller setup, the controls are so goddamned fluid it's unbelievable. This is a game man. This is a fucking game man. !!! :!:

A time space anomaly has caused Metroid Prime to be delayed until March in Australia, so I'm afraid I can't do that at the moment... oh well back to Clone Wars....

Yes. From what I can tell, it's a good game. 8)

FUCKING MARCH?!?!

What about Eternal Darkness? Is that out yet?! The only game I have is Rogue Leader (but oh what a game)

Oh yeah, Rogue Squadron is a game. Damn, I can't believe you have to wait so long for Prime. I hate to tell you this, but you are missing out. I just spent about an hour and a half on the game and didn't even realize it. That and I don't think I made a dent in my progress. heh. good ridance to the 5 hour tops games.

Fluid, eh? I take it then, that there is a tactically useful sidestep in there somewhere? I certainly couldn't find it when I played the demo.

That's cuz your a fucking monkey that lacks an oposable thumb.
Damn I've been wanting to say that for so damn long. It's there, it's a little tricky to work at first. I had doubts about anything 'auto', since I prefer manual in everything from FPS to driving games. Basically, you walk forward, backward, and look left/right with your analog. Press L to strafe left and right and click it to do the auto lock (which is incrediably fucking awesome and handy as shit.) The R button let's you look up and down and click it to bring up a recticle. I was tempted to rearrange the control setup, but it does have help hints at the beginning and I didn't want to have to decipher what the fuck I was doing so I left it like that. I really feel it's the best setup for the game. The strafing is sort of tough like I said, mainly because I'm used to strafing left/right while looking left/right to do my circle strafes, but since holding L takes away the look left/right then you lose that ability. However if you press L to lock onto an enemy and keep it down, you will automatically circle strafe an enemy. Pros/cons yeah. But trust me, I was playing that damn demo and didn't know what was up so it seemed frustrating, but once you get used to it you'll start flowing through the game. Did I mention this game is fucking awesome! +1

Apparently Eternal Darkness came out on the 7th.
I've been waiting for a new Metroid game since 1994, so I guess another 4 months wont make much of a difference... :?

Just got Fusion today, haven't played it yet. I played the Prime demo while I was there. MUCH smoother this time.

Fusion is good, almost exactly the same as Super but since they haven't beaten Metroid games into us until the series died(tomb raider) it is still fun as all fucking hell.

Next week is Thanksgiving break, I do believe I shall rent this game. Or should I wait til Christmas break?(Note: Not big fan of FPS's so I doubt I'll buy it)

Shit AB, you'll play this one and fucking buy it. FYI, I have logged about two hours into the game, and I'm around 5% done. That reminds me, my last free issue of Entertainment Weekly came in. They always have their crapdified reviews of most games you'll never play, much less care about reading. They gave Prime a B+. Said it's plot lacked, but thier a fucking magazine that caters to the biggest paycheck they receive, and second, they even said the controls were fluid and this would be very apparent in the ice caverns. ooh I gots da chills already. Whoa wasting valuable playing time.

Eternal Darkness has been out for a long time. I used to be in the same situation as you with only 1 game on game cube. Now I have 3, 2 of which I got within the last 2 weeks and I'm getting metroid prime.

I'm starting to worry about my free time. I'm 13% complete with 3hours and 46 minutes logged. The low down is that there are four worlds (levels basically) and I'm just now starting to edge my way into the third one, but the first stays almost completely unexplored. You have to find the other powerups to progress. heh. Everyone has got to get this game, Just buy it already.

Been playing Fusion. SA-X is such a badass. :D

I wouldn't say that it is even close to being exactly like Super. It's certainly similar, but it (so far) has a different atmosphere, and the mechanics are different.

Just you wait til you find out what SA-X can do.(I don't mean anything to do with fighitng, you'll understand after a piece of the station disconnects)

DC With the upcoming Thanksgiving break it should give me enought time to beat it, thats about how StarFox Adventures went time:percentile went.

Question, what world does this one take place? Zebes was destroyed in Super Metroid and *SPOILERS FOR FUSION*

SR388 is vaporized in Metroid Fusion. So whats the new planet? Ah fuck it I'm renting it tonight anyways.

Prime takes place somewhere called Tallon IV.

Well that's a surprise.

Ratfink there is right. You start on a station orbiting Tallon IV then go down to the planets surface. I doubt seriously, (barring that you use a strategy guide and just run right through it) that you will finish it quickly. You'd have to plunk down some damn hours. This is the first game since OoT that I have just wandered around aimlessly to explore. I pulled the strategy guide twice because I was just totally lost of what to do. It's expansive and personally if you just play it like it's another game off the shelf you will miss a true classic. I've been following the game for a couple of years now and it really shows how much they put into it. But still give it all you got. I aint kidding about my progress either. 13% after almost 4hrs of gameplay. That's less than a quarter of the way done. Just think, if it takes around 5-10 hours to get 25% how long exactly it would take to run through it. Oh hell yeah.
