9 liters a day

Ever since I came down with bronchitis I've been drinking titanic amounts of water to control the coughing.

As it is, I consume roughly 9 liters of water per day.

Surprisingly, my face seems to have cleared up a bit... although I do have to urinate quite often. It also cut down my impulse to snack.

It's actually become quite addicting. I hope I can cut down just a little after I get over this damn bronchitis.

Anyone else drink lots of water?

I know I DONT drink enough. I used to get plenty when I worked in a warehouse. We had one of the 5 gallon Igloos we kept filled with water and ice. Now I try to make sure I get a couple glasses of water a day, above my normal soda intake.

I drink more water on the weekends and during the summer, when I'm at home in Cedar Rapids, since the water in Iowa City tastes terrible.

I drink about 6L a day.

If your urine isn't clear, odourless and vented several times a day you are dehydrated.

Ever since I came down with kidney stones, I try to drink as much water as possible, a glass at least an hour if not more. Its the only way to keep them from coming back. If anyone has ever had them, the pain has been compared to child birth.

Drinking lots of water is a good way to forego the horrendous pain of kidney stones. I can still remember my dad crawling along the floor and crying when I was a young'n. I was supposed to inherit the ailment, but at 32, I've not had them yet, and for that I thank God.

You would know that how? Is there something you'd like to tell us all? :)

I
figure I drink 4-5 liters a day, but much of it with some form of sugar though only a little of that from soda.

I learned in class that if you feel thirsty, you are already dehydrated. So drink lots of water.

When I was singing on a daily basis, I carried water with me everywhere and probably drank about 8L per day. Now, I don't drink quite so much, but between exercising and the running around that I do for my job (I'm a music teacher), I still manage to drink a healthy amount.

That really sucks for those of us that never really feel thirsty.....I should drink more water, though.....it'll help keep my lips from chapping as bad as they have been these past few days...

We once had a water drinking competition at work, where we tried to drink as many bottles of water as we could in a 10 hour workshift. We got some water bottles so we could keep score, the bottles held roughly a liter. And so we filled them up from our tap and drank away, which resulted in frequent washroom trips for all staff members involved. The winner of our contest drank 28 of those bottles, and at a liter each or so that's a crapload of water. The funniest part was he had to stop twice on his way home to relieve himself, and he lived only 15 minutes away from the store!

I drink about 7 pints of water a day...though I usually drink a lot less while I'm in college or work...

I find the more water I drink the better & more clear headed I feel...

Bah. I consume about three sips of water every other day and 4 12-oz glasses of Dr. Pepper every day (except yesterday, I had 5, plus a can of Cherry Coke),a dn two glasses of milk. I reeeeeeeeeeally need to start drinking more water. Problem is, I'm ever thirsty, so I don't think about drinking anything.

Actually, I think it is actually worse ( not my opinion), after all, child birth does not last days.

If you are always thirsty, be careful. It can be a symptom of diabethes.

I drink about 4-5 liters of water a day.
Oh and 3 cups of coffee in the morning and often one or two beer in the evening (if I don't go out, then it's more alcohol and less water).

Actually, decreasing the amount of water you get from soda would be a good idea. Soda has a lot of nasty stuff in it, like acids (glares at Pepsi,) strange and bizarre chemicals, and a shitload of empty calories in sugar.
