*Blows up Wong's planet with the Stellar Converters mounted on each
ship in Shep's 27 ship DOOM STAR fleet*

Seriously, Microprose no longer exists, really. It's just a label that's part
of the UBI SOFT empire. All the people from teh beginning were fired LONG
ago..

HA! I have lots of other star systems.

*Blows up 8 of Shep's planets, having split my Doom Star fleet up into numerous independent battle groups*

*Shep launches his SECRET WEAPON, dozens of small cruisers armed
with DEATH SPORES, and sterilizes 16 of Wong's planets with Genetically
Engineered Death*

In MOO1, BW usage really fucked up planets, in MOO2 it was more
of an annoyance...

*Edites the MOO3 Code, tricks them both into downloading the "patch" after Hacking the website and uploading it secretly at 12:38AM
Because I like that time of night

Uhm lets hope the hella long dev period didn't fuck it up, ala
DAIKATANA....

they're trying radical new concepts like COMMAND POINTS in the game,
IE it costs CPs to do actions like tell a planet what to build, etc

In the beginning you have a surplus of CPs and can do whatever you want,
micromanage, etc, but in the later game, you'll have to pick and choose...

Well, then I'd simply have to kill the whole staff, bring down the building on their corpses and then burn the rubble down.

You forgot exterminatus. everybody loves eterminatus. Well, at least not the people who have it called down on them.

Shep, haven't you been keeping up on Moo3 development?

First of all, it's coming out on 4th December ... second, that bullcrap CP system was scrapped. It just wasn't fun.

So it's back to REAL Moo now ...

I was always partial to masses and masses and masses of super-miniturized(sp?) nuclear missiles fully upgraded with all the extras- eccm, mirv, fast, armored the works

The lamest legit ships were missile boats with EMG and MIRV missiles. Rush those out by a double-digitmturn number and slaughter your opponent's biggest, baddest ship with one shot.

I hope they fixed the Moo2 micromanagement shit. That got pretty boring after a while. Still a great game though.

I've waited this game since I bought MOO2! My only problem is that I don't have those 50€, and warezing this game would be a grave sin. I could of course ask my friend to loan the money... I have a weird feeling that this Christmas holiday will be spent playing Mater of Orion 3. :D
