A great movie.
My favorite scene is when he takes aprt the French SWAT team with nothing more than a pair of pistols.

Also Natalie Portman's acting debut, IIRC.

I know. It's a great movie. It's not the God Father, but almost nothing is.

As far as I know, yes...I'll have to double-check, but the guy isn't really the type to buy the castrated edition DVDs.

Writhe?!?! LMAO! :D Sorry, that one totally caught me off guard.

The movie totally kicks ASS, so I am sorry that I didn't get home in time to watch it tonight. Jean Reno is badass!!

Leon is one of my favourite movies as well and Reno is my favourite French actor. Heh, Leon is one of those few French-made things that no one makes fun of. :)

Reno's Les Rivieres Pourpres (Crimson Rivers) is also a good thriller, although I guess not many people here have seen it.

I watched the movie about 4-5 times on LD.

"What do you do?"
"I'm a cleaner."

Loved that movie, got it on DVD :)

Too bad he died at the end, but I heard they're making a sequel at the moment.

Thanks, thats why I kept thinking french... but I suppose that they're going to follow Mathildas life. Wonder if they'll call upon Portman to play that role again.

yeah, if nothing more because the script will be written by modern day screenwriters, but the Mathilda character, IMO, isn't as complex or great as Leon was.

I read an interview with Nat about a supposed sequel to Leon. She squashed the rumor...basically saying that if they are planning a sequel, no one has contacted her about it.

And all is as it should be.

It should have no sequel. What would it cover? The librarian helping her out?

I loved the Professional as well. I never understood, however, that part where she tells the clerk at the motel that she was Leon's lover.

That always confused me.

Leon was a total badass. Everytime I see that movie I get an urge to do situps and drink milk.
