Specificly to the series Outlaw Star
Gene Starwind, Pilot, idiot, Bounty-Hunter, And it seems people are always trying to kill Gene Starwind for a varity of reasons, most of which seem fake and it got me thinking....
Why are people REALY after him?
So I watched the series, intently looking for anything that might expose the real reason, Suddenly it struck me
The Ship! Or rather somthing on the ship... I belive Gene Starwind is in possesion of the only know Sample of CBG Goo, Short for Clothes Be Gone
Now what do I mean by that? Well its this simple fact, The Navigator and Mr Starwind have at several points been dunked in said Goo and any appent clothing they where wearing suddenly dissapears! And opon leaving the goo it repears as mysteriously as it vanished
Now things begin to make abit more sense.... For a liquid that makes Clothing Vanish would be higly useful in a varity of fields... Think of the military benifts alone of litelry putting the enemy in his underware, a GREAT phychological advantage and an excellent device to repell Spaceborn invadors if they though thier suits where gone
Now its unknow on what principle this Goo operaties yet another reason to get the rather large sample(It appears to be on the twenty to seventy Gallon range) and study it....
Does this makes sense to anyone and would anyone want some of said Goo(You could market it!)

Well, people are after Gene since he's got the key to the Leyline...but dude, I know exactly what you mean. I have no idea how the fuck that goo tank works.

Of course, your theory doesn't really explain anything because even if it
is CBG goo, in order to use it, you apparently have to be completely immersed in it, making its usage impractical in battle.
Secondly, it is established in the last few episodes that the MacDougall brothers have one of those tanks as well, and yet they still persue the XGP, so this obviously isn't the reason for their persuit.
However, you do bring up a good point - just how
does Melfina change her clothes so fast? This is probably the real reason Gene is interested in her - she can strip faster than any other woman in space.

Can't you thin out the CBG goo and spray battlefields with it? Or couldn't you develop a delayed effect version? I mean, lady goes in lift in business suit, lady runs out of lift followed by hordes of slavering salarymen.

You, sir, are very much deserving of your name.

Well they have a Varity of Reasons for pursuing Starwind to begin with, It looks like the Good Docter is the one who knows how to make the CBG Goo, Furthermore how do we know its full Imerson? The are always well gone before we see the Crewers emerge leading me to belive it is an instantious dissapearance

Well how about this - if it's the goo that is responsible for Mefina's extremely fast stripping, then why does Gene not store some of this goo for himself and use it at inappropriate times? This can only be explained by:
A. It requires full immersion, thus he would not be able to use it in such a fashion.
B. The goo does not in fact function to make one's clothes disappear.
C. Gene has suddenly developed a sense of morality.
As we know, C is completely impossible. So given that Gene Starwind has not discovered this use for CBG goo, we know that either A or B is true and your theory is flawed. Further, we know that Melfina can strip faster than anyone else alive, hence her immense attractiveness to Gene.

Your overlook the possibility that Gene does not relise what he has on his hands

In at least one episode he gets in the tank
with Melfina. Even if he missed it before, do you really think he'll fail to notice when through no action of his own both him and an extremely hot girl are both missing their clothes? Remember that this is Gene Starwind we're talking about.

Maybe he's got an extremely inhibited libido.
But seriously, I have to see this, an anime which features the main male elad and a hot chick climbing into a tank of clothing remover.

It's not clothing remover, which is what I'm trying to explain to our friend Mr. Bean. And in any case, I'm not sure Outlaw Star would be your style. Maybe something more like
La Blue Girl.

Then I will go over to the country where Mr. bean lives and knock over the store he works in.
With a Centurion AVRE.

What makes you think you're immune, data_link? You're spamming too.
Now to make this on-topic so it won't be deleted. I always wondered why her clothes just disappeared. When she leaves the tank, her clothes are still dry. WTF? Never noticed the bit with the MacDougals, though.

The Store I work in happens to be a US Navy Carrier ATM though it might be entertainting to watch you try to knock it over

First rule of anime: thou shalt include fan service.
Second rule of anime: blatant acts of fanservice shalt not be limited by minor issues such as plausability. (Actually, this is true of all things in anime)

Love Hina makes a third rule: ALL characters shall take part in fanservice, regardless of age or race.
And Yooshi, maybe it's like dry-cleaning liquid or something.

Fanservice is basically panty shots. Lots of panty shots. ESB like...

Fanservice: sexually suggestive and/or revealing shots of female characters that are not directly relevant to the plot and that exist for the sole reason of attracting male viewership.
In other words, the number two reason to watch anime.
