I really hope Bush gives this guy the boot before the next election. AG's generally don't last a whole administration and Reno was one of the first to do so. I hope she is the last and Ashcroft goes bye bye.

This is to be expected anytime troops are used. We still have troops in Saudi, Bosnia, Korea, etc. I dont know why Americans fall for the crap lines that the ground troops will go in then get out. That only works for a minor operation in some place small like Grenada.

I wonder if anyone is gonna try to stick Aschcroft to his article?

Ashcroft's actions really don't have much to do with the fact that he's a republican.

I do not think Bush is going to fire Ashcroft before the end of his term. They're both right-wing Christian conservatives. Bush is gonna watch out for his own. Can't say the same thing for Colin Powell, who is far closer to the center than Bush is (And Powell will likely leave on his own accord anyway.)

I sense a lot of distraction attempts here. Billy Clinton's blowjob does not affect you in any way, shape or form. It was wholly irrelevant to the presidency. Ashcroft's about-face on Internet freedom and individual privacy, on the other hand, DOES affect you.
