Just got this off of Yahoo...

Anyway...Canada's communication advisor to the Prime Minister called Bush a moron when talking off the record to a reporter. However, a few others over-heard, and the next "Ellion Gonzalez" scandal is made! Any bets on how long this will last?
I give it about a month, after a few television appearances.

I heard her resignation wasn't accepted. Though I could have old info.

Why should this be scandalous? Everyone calls Bush a moron.

Because, he's supposed to be addressed as President Moron.

She gets in trouble for being a Canadian official saying the same thing millions of average Americans say every day. Jeez...

What I don't understand is, freedom of speech is supposed to be protected and youre supposedly not supposed to be ostricized by your employees for expressing yourself. Now, why is it that people resign if they cant legally be punished? I think we need more countries openly calling Bush a moron. And by countries I mean their leaders.

It wasn't even openly calling him a moron. It was a private conversation.

I also loved how the american shows claimed "victory".
This is one of most ridiculous things I have ever seen happen. I cannot believe how such a fuss has been created over such an insignificant event.
In the end, Bush is STILL a moron and always will be. And the idiots on shows like CNN Crossfire just gained themselves that title as well.
If I was the Communication advisor I would have only hardened my stance whenever reporters came around or the more the media made a big deal of it. Hell I would have gladly yelled it into the microphones at the top of my voice as they croud around.
Whenever someone does something "controversial" they always back down like pussies whenever the media jumps on it. They should harden there stance and not let themselves get bullied around.

I cant imagine the controversy that would result if, say, Gerhard Schroeder stood up and said "You Mister Bush are a big fucking idiot!"

Hell, I'll gladly call bush a fucking idiot on camera. It wouldn't phase me in the least.

I can see the rest of the parliament standing and applauding.

Exactly...Just like so many things, like the Joan Benet thing that those supermarket tabloids STILL cling to, or that shoplifting charge on Wynona Rider...I mean, christ, reuters gets around 20 stories a day that have to do with politics, sciences, and yet news programs and some newspapers puts this crap in.

Nope, Christian Democrats and Free Democrats would use that fine opportunity to badmouth him (just as do they always do)
