The news on the day after Thanksgiving usually focuses on how many people are spending for Christmas, and how much.
Are you going to spend less this Christmas than in previous years? More ?
The same?
Me: Im spending next to nothing this year. Just gonna do cards for the relatives and Im thinking of getting a savings bond for my best friends baby.

Yes, scrooge. Is that the net gain or are you not considering the received presents. If you do that, you'll have negative spending, which is much more nice.
Unless you don't receive any as well, and then I apologize..
edit: stupid smiley, I put the wrong one

I
wish I didn't recieve any. It would avoid the whole business of people continually bugging me to tell them what I want for Christmas. It would also avoid the whole business of having to fake gratitude so that my mom doesn't yell at me. Why can't they understand that I just don't want anything for Christmas (at least, not that I have a snowball's chance in hell of actually getting, although a space shuttle might be pretty nice.
)

I have a hard time getting the point across to people that I really dont want something that I can put on a shelf or stick in a drawer. Id really appreciate a dinner or book certificate.

Ask for money. It works with me.
Or, also nice: a future present. You'll find something you want, eventually. That's how I got, humm, a new shiny laptop, my bike, etc.

I'd like to receive a live Asuka/Rei/Other anime chick, wrapped up in some naughty lingerie.
But that will happen when Wong becomes Christian.
More to the point:
Money spent in Christmas last year: $45 (feeding myself)
Money spent in Christmas this year: $nada (being fed by military)

$0 so far, but that's because I have no money. Both my cards are nearly maxed out and I have peanuts in my bank account, and won't get any money until mid-December.
I would like to receive some anime box-sets, though...and a set of good computer speakers...perhaps a new processor...a Gamecube...
*writes list to Santa*
