For all those who worked in retail in the United States today, how was your Black Friday?

Oh, good. I stayed home, posted here, and played SC BattleNet.

Same as always. plenty of elbows and assholes.

This is the first year I a while that I didn't have to work. It was sweet, I hated the whole Thanksgiving break. I worked at a grocery store so there would always be people trying to find Thanksgiving dinner five minuts before they were supposed to have dinner. And of course they'd be pissed when we had jack shit. And the rest of the weekend was horrible too....

Damn, I'm glad I quit that job.

I stayed home and played games. I got my reg codes for Geneforge. Yeah!

I used to work retail though. I worked in the customer pick up section of Circuit City from 92-96. Days like today are always busy, but that first year was a fricking nightmare.

Got the flu, temp went up to 104, I'm ok now...

Standing outside a ginourmous electronics store at 6 AM. $200 bucks of stuff for the cost of stamps.

Only the most busiest fucking shopping day of the holiday season. Like today, is when all the elbows, assholes and those inbetween get out and shop for the holidays. That reminds me...

The day after Thanksgiving (which is always on a Thursday, hence Black Friday). It is officially the start of the Christmas Shopping Season, so therefore roughly 3/4* of the entire United States population is out shopping.

It was fun, this is the ONLy day of the year that the rest of the Store has to show up as early as I do on a normal Friday. My day normally starts at 5am and yesterday I laughed at all the bleary hung-pver faces as people prepared to slough through the day (with hundreds of customers lined up outside). The best part was that since I no longer have to deal with customers and I got no delivery truck this was the easiest day in three months.
