We used to build Lego airplanes and smash them against the wall. I'd love to build this and watch as taking off a nacelle causes the entire model to collapse

I am quite impressed with that model. Took quite a lot of planning to make

It's probably more durable than the real one.

Pet hate number umpteen billion:
I hate people who say "Lego's"
The plural of Lego is Lego.
This particular pet hate ranks alongside other ones such as "Jedi's" (the true plural of Jedi being Jedi, of course)

It's about the same scale as the Lego ISD. It looks really good. Now, just build 99 more of them, break them, and put them next to the ISD.

Does the site say how many Lego bricks it took to build that thing?
Man, makes me want to find the "to scale" Lego Millenium Falcon this one guy built... it was freaking HUGE, as in, well over three feet in diameter...

How about people who put apostrophes where they don't fucking belong?

That as well.

the one ST-like lego model i did probably is much stronger... about the same size too from what i can tell...
but even the lego ISD doesn't hold a candle to the structural strength and gracefulness of the NCS Vesuvius, it's completely my own design. at just over 4 and a half feet long it's the biggest i've seen in RL so far (i know there's bigger) but the real cool part in my opinion is the fact that the hull is built from the keel up as a framework with ribs and girders, the actual "hull" is just plating.

Neato. More proof that some people have way too much time on their hands.

Actually, I'm kind of impressed that he would spend so long to build such a thing. It must have taken ages.

nice model though. looks way the hell better than the lego ISD... better scaling... i rather hate scaling a ship model to have the damned people in'em

It's no where close to being to scale to the lego people. and it's probly about as accurate as the Lego E-D, maybe a little high or short in some respects but otherwise accurate.

Wow, he actually took the time to design it? When I played with Lego, I just made it up as I went along...

Hehe, me too. I also modified the designs of the sets, mainly by jacking in an assload of guns.
It also helped in writing sci-fi. Helped me get a visual of the stuff I was writing about.

Sounds just like my except I'd pull the design outta my ass (or wherever someone gets those really awesome spaceship designs seen for example on the Internet...)
