A simple question to everyone

Where ya going for the Holdays?

Staying Home because you want to?

Going Someplace?(As mentioned 7-27th I'll be gone but within computer access, Off to Connectect and Road Island)

Or having people come to you(Lazy bastard :D)

Or will you be huddled in the corner not having anyone to go to or anyone wanting to come to you Tiny Tim?

I'm going to Lake Tahoe. I have a cabin there, and Kate and I wanted to spend some quality time together. Of course, I'll also have enough time to work a little on DarkStar's site, once I get back.

My wife and I are taking a train trip to and from Phoenix (she has relatives there). Thanks to my uncle's transfer of almost $600 in a Transportation Certificate from Amtrak, we'll travel in style (the ticket for the both of us will run around $1500), with our own compartment. Meals, showers, free parking (actually, included with the substantial price tag) and other goodies are included on the trip. It'll be the first train trip for her and hopefully the first pleasant one for me.

I'm starting basic military training on the 11th. I will learn to fire a gun, hide in grass and not to crap my pants when shot at.

Thanatos? Amateur... You should listen to Komm Susser Todd as you turn on the gas!

And don't worry, many of us will be all alone. Beowulf, Tosho, me, as long as there are adolescent males ont his board, there will always be someone who spends Christmas alone.

US Army, I'm assuming. Do not call your M-16 a "gun" when you get there. That will be sufficiently drilled into your head. So far as getting over fear of being shot, we will hopefully train you to engage the enemy effectively enough so that you'll be more concerned about engaging and destroying him than you are of being shot...

I'm not in the US. I'm in Singapore.

but the basic principle is the same.

It isn't about dying for your country but making the other guy die for his.
And I am still eager to learn - talk is nothing in combat.

Three things to remeber

1.There will be stuff you have to know
And no they are not kidding More you know=less Pushups

2.Yes The Sergant CAN give you 400 Pushups and you WILL have to do them, He will NOT change his mind at pushup number 31 and only make you do 35 so don't slow down

3.For every nice CO you meet, there will be one hard-ass who is YOUR CO

holiday in cambodia - dead kennedys

So you been to school for a year or two
And you know you've seen it all
In daddy's car thinkin' you'll go far
Back east your type don't crawl
Play ethnicky jazz to parade your snazz
On your five grand stereo
Braggin that you know how the niggers feel cold
And the slums got so much soul

It's time to taste what you most fear
Right Guard will not help you here
Brace yourself, my dear

It's a holiday in Cambodia
It's tough kid, but it's life
It's a holiday in Cambodia
Don't forget to pack a wife

Your a star-belly sneech you suck like a leech
You want everyone to act like you
Kiss ass while you bitch so you can get rich
But your boss gets richer on you
Well you'll work harder with a gun in your back
For a bowl of rice a day
Slave for soldiers til you starve
Then your head skewered on a stake
Now you can go where people are one
Now you can go where they get things done
What you need my son:

Is a holiday in Cambodia
Where people dress in black
A holiday in Cambodia
Where you'll kiss ass or crack

Pol Pot, Pol Pot, Pol Pot, Pol Pot
Pol Pot, Pol Pot, Pol Pot, Pol Pot

And it's a holiday in Cambodia
Where you'll do what you're told
A holiday in Cambodia
Where the slums got so much soul

Pol Pot

í´ll be going snowboarding in france for a week.

There's Angkor Wat, for one. Aside from that there are some people we know. And let's not forget the thrill of visiting a genuine 3rd-world country.
