Yep. 'The Bible Beater' and 'Cowboy Bebop: Living Music' both of which are in the FF.
I also made a couple people cry IRL with a piece I wrote during my suicidal years.

Not yet. My writing doesn't suck that much yet.

That depends, do you mean cry as in "God that is beautiful" or as in "God you are a vicious mean cold hearted bastard"?

Yeah, I think I have written something that made my mom cry because it was so beautiful or something, but she cries whenever me or my little sister do anything of any good.

I've done both, as well as "God, that was sad."

I'm currently whipping up a little something to make DarkStar cry, but I don't think he'll ever quit.

I was referring to the first one.

Yes, a few pieces of music I've written and some nice things I've said, but all those in question were sort of weepy to begin with, so I'm not sure that really counts.

I had written a piece of poetry *Gasp* when I...wasn't doing so well, about three years ago.
It was pretty surreal...The effect really surprised me.

Yes...and they weren't good things at all...so I'm not going into detail.

Possibly, I made a lot of people sad for me when I went into a Yahoo christian chat room preaching the Holy Order of the Cheese.

I think a few people cried (and also sent death threats) when Wesley Crusher became a character in Star Crossed.

I wrote a song once that tends to bring a few to tears. It's not really a sad song, or a great song for that matter. Something in the words just seems to remind people of things in their lives that make them sad.
The toast I gave at my best friend's wedding moved his wife to tears.

Yes. Back in high school, I was a hopelessly romantic sap. As such, I wrote a very long love letter to a girl, and she told me she cried reading it ... as did the two other girls I showed it to.
EDIT: Oh, yeah, and back in high school, I was also a retreat leader. Part of the retreat was to write letters to the retreatants. My friend and I actually had a contest going to see who could make the most girls cry with our letters on their retreat.
I won.

I suspect--but don't know--that some of my B5 fanfic might have had this kind of effect on a few people. But extracting an emotional response from fanfic is of course cheating because the readers will already have a strong committment to the characters from watching/reading the official materials.
To date my original stuff tends to provoke nothing but a cry of utter indifference....

Actually, I just remembered.... This is a bad-crying story, but I'm going to tell it anyway. Just the recap.
Probably not many of you remember, but I told a story a while back in a thread about this guy I was in love with for yeeeeeeeeears in high school, who I eventually got over. He of course then fell in love with me. Since I had fallen out of love with him, I could then see that he had treated me badly and so I decided my life would be better if he wasn't in it anymore.
Well, a few months ago I wrote him a letter explaining how I feel about him now. This letter went into detail concerning things that had been bothering me for years; all the selfish, inconsiderate, thoughtless things he did everyday without noticing. After this letter skillfully explained these things to the boy, it informed him that I no longer wanted him in my life and that for my own good I needed him out.
I heard later from a mutual friend that he cried for an hour after reading that, said that he was happy that I was finally taking care of myself, but that he kept crying because he realized he had lost me for good.

Quite a few acutaly, the only one that is realy impactful(Pulls out tinny violen to play the worlds saddest song) was when I was six, At that time our family was one paycheck to the next, some weeks were spent living in the car and on Xmas that year(Which was celebrate dispute all of us being atheists
Never knew why, guess it was "just because") Since I lacked the two important things, Transportation and Money, it was hard to find a gift for my Mother, so I graped a few of HER kichen utlizitles and wrapped them up in wrapping paper with merry Christimas on them and stuck them under the tree
Well when she opened it up a first she was a bit confused but then when she relised where I had gotten said items and when I informed her I just wanted to give her somthing to open she broke down...
Oh! I also informed a deaf-man he was going to die in six months to cancer and he cried too... Thats the two more impactful ones off the top of my head

I wrote a note to my aunt that let her know how I felt. It wasn't all too pleasant.

Star Crossed? I have heard the name from time to time. Can someone fill me in?
